Walt Disney World has moved to cancel one of the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights this week ahead of Hurricane Helene making landfall in Florida.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Canceled for Hurricane Helene

With Hurricane Helene forecasted to make landfall on Thursday, September 26, the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party happening that night at Magic Kingdom has been canceled.

All guest tickets to the party will be refunded. Magic Kingdom will also have extended operating hours to 8 p.m. for guests to enjoy the park, instead of closing at its original scheduled time of 6 p.m.

Here’s the message from Walt Disney World regarding the closure:

We are always looking to deliver a great and enjoyable experience for our guests. Due to forecasted weather and the impact to our outdoor entertainment offerings, we are cancelling Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 26. Guest tickets will be refunded. 

While Magic Kingdom was scheduled to close tomorrow at 6 p.m., we are extending operating hours until 8 p.m. for guests to enjoy more time in the park.

Hurricane Helene formed this morning after strengthening from tropical storm status, and is projected to hit the Big Bend of Florida tomorrow, Thursday, September 26.
