Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort has been decorated for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 through October 15.

A mural celebrating the occasion is on the wall next to the district’s new security plaza. The mural reads, “Welcome Familia, Bienvenidos,” and, “Our stories celebrate the love and traditions of family who inspired us.” The artwork features “Coco”-inspired imagery, people honoring their loved ones at an ofrenda, and a Mariachi band with dancers.
Vibrant flowers are painted in a border around the images, nearly blending in with the real plants on the ground below.
Disney has decorated the nearby stage for the celebrations. There are round colorful banners along the front of the stage. Beds of marigolds are on the edge of the platform and in pots. Large floral elements and banners are on the sides of the stage.
The banners read “Celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Cultures,” with several hands reaching out towards each other.
The same imagery is used on another sign in front of construction walls.
DJ Mike Sincere, DJ Jezzy B, and Mariachi Amor are performing on the stage for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. Performance times are listed on a sign.
Another sign highlights HLHM food and beverage options, including the recently opened Céntrico, Paseo, and Tiendita.
A topiary of Isabela from “Encanto” graces a flower bed. Guests can meet Isabela and her sister Luisa in Disneyland Park for the first time this month, alongside Mirabel.
There are also decorative floral medallions and garlands throughout Downtown Disney District.
