LEGO Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar Sets Retiring in 2024

LEGO sets aren’t around forever, and the latest updates to the list of “retiring soon” items have been made. These are the LEGO Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and AVATAR sets currently slated for retirement at the end of the year.

LEGO Disney

Mirabel Madrigal BrickHeadz – $9.99

The “Encanto” Mirabel Madrigal BrickHeads, set #40753, is a LEGO Store exclusive with 179 pieces. It includes flowers for her skirt and a custom decal for her blouse, plus her signature green glasses.

Mirabel’s Photo Frame and Jewelry Box, set #43239, has 334 pieces. It has three buildable items (the photo frame, a photo stand, and the jewelry box), a wearable DOTS bracelet, and extra pieces for customizable decor. It includes a LEGO Mirabel mini-doll figure, the Madrigal’s candle, and a capybara.

Elsa’s Frozen Treats – $15.99

Asha’s Cottage from “Wish” is set #43231. It comes with 509 pieces and is recommended for ages 7+. It comes with three mini-doll figures: Asha, Sakina, and Sabino, plus a Star figure with a clear stand to make it look like it’s floating.

The cottage is two stories. The sides open to reveal the interior of the cottage. It has a kitchen, bedroom, and wishing well, with many decorative elements.

Disney Celebration Train – $39.99

The Disney Celebration Train was part of the Disney100 product line. It’s set #43212, includes 200 pieces, and is recommended for ages 4+. It is part of the Starter Bricks collection, featuring a large starter piece and instructions intended for children whose skillset is between DUPLO and classic LEGO.

It comes with a train station, an engine, and three “floats” that hook together. Minifigures of Mickey, Minnie, Tinker Bell, Moana, Woody, and Peter Pan are included.

LEGO Star Wars

The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz – $54.99

Pirate Snub Fighter – $34.99

The Pirate Snub Fighter was part of the collection for “The Mandalorian” season three, which introduced us to the character Vane — one of the ensemble for the upcoming “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series on Disney+. It’s set #75346, comes with 285 pieces, and is recommended for ages 8+.

The Snub Fighter has stud shooters and a cockpit with minifigure seating. It comes with two minifigures: Vane with a sword and a Snub Fighter Pilot with a blaster. It also includes a thermal detonator accessory.

Ultimate Collector’s Series Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder – $239.99

Part of the Ultimate Collector’s Series, a line of detailed, large builds intended for ages 18+, Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder is set #75341. It comes with 1,890 pieces, including two minifigures of Luke Skywalker and C-3PO. It features details from the X-34 seen in “Star Wars: A New Hope,” like the scrap parts, missing port turbine cover, and scratch on the front end.

Like all the Collector’s Series models, it comes with an informational placard. Luke has his lightsaber and electrobinoculars.

Ultimate Collector’s Series Mos Eisley Cantina – $399.99

The Mos Eisley Cantina set (#75290) is part of the Ultimate Collector’s Series recommended for ages 18+. It has 3,187 pieces and 21 minifigures. Seven of the 21 minifigures were brand new when this set was introduced in 2020, and three of those have unique designs that required new LEGO molds.

He starts out half-transformed and can be fully Venomized using the parts, including Venom’s long tongue, teeth, tentacles, and eyes.

Endgame Final Battle – $99.99

The Final Battle based on “Avengers: Endgame,” set #76266, has 794 pieces and is recommended for ages 10+. It comes with a Thanos big figure, a Wasp microfigure, and minifigures of Captain Marvel, Okoye, Shuri, Valkyrie, and the Scarlet Witch. It has places to hide Easter eggs from the film, including the time stone and the rat, plus Captain America’s shield and Thor’s hammer.

Iron Man Hulkbuster vs. Thanos – $26.99

The Iron Man Hulkbuster vs. Thanos set is #76263, comes with 66 pieces, and is recommended for ages 4+. This line of “learn to build” sets is designed to help younger children who are in between DUPLO and regular LEGO skillsets. The buildable Hulkbuster has a seat for the included Iron Man minifigure, just as the aircraft has a seat for the Thanos minifigure. Thanos’ ship launches discs.

Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws – $69.99

The Hoopty – $89.99

The Hoopty, based on the spaceship from “The Marvels,” is set #76232. It comes with 420 pieces and is recommended for ages 8+. It comes with minifigures of Captain Marvel, Photon, and Ms. Marvel, plus Goose the Flerken and two baby Flerken.

Baby Rocket’s Ship – $34.99

Baby Rocket’s Ship from “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3” is set #76254, has 330 pieces, and is recommended for ages 8+. It comes with both an adult Rocket and a baby Rocket minifigures. The cockpit opens, and it has adjustable landing gear and stud shooters.

LEGO AVATAR

Skimwing Adventure – $27.99

The Skimwing Adventure, set #75576, is based on James Cameron’s “AVATAR 2: The Way of Water,” comes with 259 pieces, and is recommended for ages 8+. There’s an included stand for the buildable, poseable Skimwing and minifigures of Tonowari and Jake Sully. It also includes small set pieces based on the underwater environments of Pandora.

Payakan the Tulkun & Crabsuit – $79.99

Also based on “AVATAR 2: The Way of Water,” this set is #75579, comes with 761 pieces, and is recommended for ages 10+. It comes with a buildable, posable tulkan (the whale-like creature). The crabsuit is changeable between its submarine and walking modes. Three character minifigures are included: Lo’ak, Tsireya, and Crabsuit Driver.

Official retirement dates have not been announced beyond “soon,” but in most cases, they will be retired at the end of the year. You may be able to find them in brick-and-mortar stores while they sell the last stock past the retirement date, but they will not be produced anymore.
