But eager fans don’t have to wait that long to bring a piece of the highly-anticipated sequel home with today’s preview of exciting products coming from the film. A plethora of dolls and toys will soon be available alongside books, smartphone […]
Kingdom Hearts Mickey Mouse lost his pants in front of guests, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge series 2 Kyber crystals and more are now online, and we visited the Pleasing x Fantasia Pop-up — all this and more in today’s daily recap for Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Whether it’s called FastPass, FastPass+, MaxPass, Genie+, or Lightning Lane, Disney’s expedited entry system can be hard to navigate, especially for first-time parkgoers. Now that the summer crush has subsided (and before the holiday rush begins), we put together a guide to help untangle some of the chaos, including the enigma known as Virtual Queue. […]
We all know ‘em. We all use ‘em. And we all love ‘em (ok maybe that part is not true). Love ‘em or hate ‘em, acronyms are a part of our society forevermore. Used heavily in government organizations, business entities, statistics, sports, and social media, these little abbreviations are meant to take a complicated string […]
A pop-up shop for Pleasing, a lifestyle brand owned by musician Harry Styles, has opened in the former NBA Experience at Disney Springs.
The pop-up runs from September 28 through the end of October to promote the new collaboration between Disney and Pleasing, which features Fantasia. More than just the Fantasia collection is available — items from other Pleasing lines are for sale as well.
Pleasing x Fantasia Pop-Up
The entrance and exits are shaped like keyholes with pink curtains. The Disney Fantasia x Pleasing logo is on the front, though the last “a” in Fantasia is missing (likely due to the weather from Hurricane Helene). A virtual queue was in use for the opening today, with wait times up to six hours.
Interior
The space is set up with temporary walls, which are a light seafoam green with golden accents. Thick red and blue curtains divide the space as well. In the center is the checkout counter.
Decorative elements fill the empty space with fake plants, mirrors, and a fountain.
Behind the register is a display with a variety of retro televisions with clips celebrating the collection.
The Fantasia collection is mixed in with other Pleasing products throughout the shop, though most of the items in the back half are not part of the Disney collaboration.
The products are displayed on pink and blue shelves as well as small wooden tables. There is apparel, accessories, cosmetics, nail polish, and more.
The pop-up shop is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Another pop-up location is available in Houston, Texas. The Disney Stores at Times Square in New York and on Oxford Street in London, UK are also carrying the collection beginning September 28.
Disney Fantasia x Pleasing
The products launched at the pop-up, though the official debut online is October 4. Both the Pleasing and Disney Store websites will carry the line.
The art was inspired by the original archival illustrations for 1940’s Fantasia. The apparel is 100% cotton, and most items come in sizes XS-5X. The cosmetics are vegan, and more information on ingredients is available on the Pleasing website.

Nail Polish Sets
The nail polish sets were not in stock during our visit, but they are listed below with their images from the Pleasing website and item information.
Danza Delle Ore Set – $65
The Danza Delle Ore set was inspired by “The Dance of the Hours,” with Hyacinth Hippo and Ben Ali Gator. The included polishes are Blows a Bubble, Hippo Grapes, Clock Strikes Six, and The Evening Dancers. Their descriptions are below.
Blows a Bubble
Blows a Bubble is a metallic meander towards a brighter future with its punchy golden hue. It’s the shine of the sun, the twinkle of the stars, a daisy’s sweet pollen and Hyacinth Hippo’s tutu skirt.
Hippo Grapes
Fresh off the vine, Hippo Grapes is less red alert, more red romance with its sumptuous duo-chrome finish. It’s a shade that at times feels like two colors dancing together across your fingertips in harmonious synergy.
Clock Strikes Six
The Clock Strikes Six is a green opaque polish that proves a sage choice time and time again. Its buildable formula allows you to play with its layers for a subtle Ben Ali Gator homage or add several coats for a more obvious tribute.
The Evening Dancers
The Evening Dancers is a glitter jelly polish in a dramatic mauve shade, inspired by the lightness and finesse of Hyacinth Hippo’s flirtatious performance technique. Allow it to lead you onto the dance floor or to dive into unrequited love.
La Pastorale Set – $65
This set was inspired by the Greek classics section of Fantasia, and includes the A Cherub’s Hair, Sleeping Stars, Throwing Thunderbolts, and Pretty Puddles polishes.
A Cherub’s Hair
A Cherub’s Hair is a gentle lilac sparkle for a sweet, sensitive tribute to Disney’s Fantasia’s exploration of the Greek Classics. Here, the soft purple tells a story of fantasy and fables centered on the sweet.
Sleeping Stars
Sleeping Stars is a delicate sweet baby pink with a pearl finish that’s nuanced in its classicism, which makes it ripe for subverting. Think of Sleeping Stars as being like a shady nebula, ready to explore a whole new Galaxy. Here, metaphors are actioned.
Throwing Thunderbolts
Throwing Thunderbolts is quiet in its power. This light yellow shade is stealth in origin, calling upon the strength of Fantasia’s Greek God narrative with gentle intention in Pleasing’s familiar pearl formulation.
Pretty Puddles
Splish, splash with Pretty Puddles; a blue jelly shade that celebrates nature’s power. A vibrant, electric hue, it’s a retelling of the technicolor shades seen in Disney’s Fantastia’s cartoon illustrations and the way it revitalized nature’s familiar colors.
L’Apprenti Sorcier Set – $65
This set, inspired by The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, contains four polishes — The Apprentice in Magic; Wizard Hat; Dreamy Red Coat; and Sky, Stars, and Magic.
The Apprentice in Magic
In The Apprentice in Magic’s iridescent cream formula, sorcery appears at play as it glistens like the stars, be they those in the sky or those embroidered on a wizard’s fine cloak. Multi-dimensional magic emerges with each coat as fine glitter, and a pearl finish pair in spellbinding synchronicity.
Wizard Hat
A shade to represent an icon of cinematic history, this blue-gray opaque shade is as nostalgic as it is magical as it pulls hues from Mickey’s famous wizard hat. Opaque, this shade puts a spell on your nails with every building layer.
Dreamy Red Coat
A true red with additional sparkle, Dreamy Red Coat does what it says on the glass bottle. It’s a commanding color that brings you the power to ignite some sorcery wherever your day meanders.
Sky, Stars, and Magic
Take on the power of Sky, Stars and Magic with this electric blue polish. This shade calls upon the magic of the natural world with a color that marries the power of the sky with the wonder of the ocean, for an all-seeing look at the spectacular.
Cosmetics
L’Apprenti Sorcier Big Lip Moisture Balm in Buttercream – $25
This lip balm is vanilla scented with upcycled saffron extract, sunflower seed oil, Madagascar vanilla absolute, and Indonesian nutmeg. It also contains shea butter, coconut oil, and hyaluronic acid.
L’Apprenti Sorcier Hand + Nail Balm – $25
The hand + nail balm features Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse and contains shea butter, snow mushroom, and apricot. It’s advertised as vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.
Journals
La Danza Delle Ore Journal – $30
The hardcover A5 journal is dusty purple with illustrations from “The Dance of the Hours.” It has an elastic band to keep it closed and a purple ribbon to mark your place.
L’Apprenti Sorcier Journal – $30
This journal is also A5-sized with a hardcover, elastic band, and ribbon. It’s a pale pastel blue with white art of Mickey from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. It was not in stock at the time of our visit.
Towels
L’Apprenti Sorcier Towel – $85
The towels are all Extra Huge Pleasing Towels and are considered oversized and comparable to a beach blanket. Mickey as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice is in red against a navy background.
La Danza Delle Ore Towel – $85
This towel is emerald green, with sketch art of Hyacinth Hippo in black.
La Pastorale Towel – $85
The Pastoral Symphony towel is bright blue with pale pink art of a pegasus.
Will you be stopping by the Pleasing x Fantasia pop-up at Disney Springs? Let us know your must-haves in the comments.
A fashion show is on its way to Disneyland Paris on October 1st, and people from around the world can watch it live at 10:30PM CET! Coperni, the brand hosting the show, will be showing off its Summer 2025 collection. But why are we talking about a fashion show, you ask? Well, because these shoes were featured to be part of it, and we had a visceral reaction to them.
Listen, we are never one to judge what you choose to wear to the parks, HOWEVER we feel it’s of utmost importance to tell you that these are NOT a good fit for Disney World for a multitude of reasons. But the number one reason is easily those trolley tracks on Main Street. Those are ankle twisters for people in sandals and tennis shoes; we can’t imagine how easy it would be to step your high heel into the track, and oops, down you go.
@coperni on Instagram
Now, seasoned park goers may be looking at these and going, “Duh, I would never wear those to the parks, I know what I’m doing.” But we’ve been seeing these EVERYWHERE, meaning that we’re expecting to see a trend pop up soon where people are wearing them in the parks, and we’re here to tell you now that no matter how cute you think they are, they are probably NOT a good idea. Your feet will likely start to hurt in 0.2 seconds, and you likely won’t be able to truly enjoy any of the park because you’ll be in so much pain — and that’s if you DON’T twist your ankle on the trolley tracks.
Especially if it’s slippery from rain? Game over in those shoes
Trust us, we’ve been there — you have the perfect outfit planned, and you feel it’ll be ruined by your comfortable, supportive sandals and/or sneakers. Yes, we’ve been tempted to make that mistake more times than we’d care to admit, and some of us DO make that mistake and regret it 1/3 of the way (or sooner) into our park day. If you’re planning a fast-paced, move it and groove it Disney World day, we don’t recommend wearing shoes that aren’t broken in, have any sort of heel, or you know are uncomfortable. The good news is, most Disney World photos can be taken from the torso up, or you can crop your feet out, so no one will ever know that you weren’t wearing those super cute shoes.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Instead, bring those cute shoes along for a table service dining reservation in the evening! Then, you won’t be wearing them for too long and aren’t spending all day walking around, but can still get some great photos in them. You can also utilize a locker inside the parks if you want to bring the other set of shoes with you to change into without going back to your hotel or car.

Two Disney World hotel restaurants have been closed for extended refurbishment.
Everything Pop
The World Premiere Food Court at All-Stars Movies Resort closed on July 1st and was supposed to open later in July; however, the refurbishment was pushed until mid-October. The Everything Pop Shopping and Dining food court closed on July 29th and is set to open this week! As you wander around Disney World this week, be prepared for a few other closures that will affect your vacation.
Since July 29th, Everything Pop has been getting some work done. The refurbishment is supposed to end on September 29th. This means the food court should be back to full and normal operation on this day! We’ll be checking in on anything that may have changed while work was being done.
For other closures around Disney World from September 28th through October 5th, keep reading below!
Magic Kingdom
Jungle Cruise
The wild river ride closed on August 26th, and no, this is not some joke the Skippers just came up with!
The Jungle Cruise will be back soon!
The punny ride will be closed for refurbishment but will luckily reopen on October 18th if everything goes to plan. If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom over the next month and a half, we’re sorry to report that you will not get to see the eighth wonder of the world — the backside of water. Hopefully, the next time you visit, you’ll get to “ooo” and “ahhh” and this marvel!
Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade
We had to say goodbye to an opening day attraction on June 23rd.
The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is closed.
The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade was around for generations and provided simple fun to all who played. Now, the attraction has closed to make room for a new Disney Vacation Club lounge. This lounge will be the third in Disney World, joining one in EPCOT and one at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney has not yet announced when the new lounge will open.
Tomorrowland Terrace is a quick-service restaurant that has been closed since the 2020 pandemic-related closures, but even before that, this spot was only occasionally open.
Tomorrowland Terrace
Once in a while, you’ll see the dining room open as a rest area (and it’s still being used for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties), but it’s usually all roped off and empty.
Restaurant Marrakesh is currently closed as a dining location in the Morocco pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, and there’s no word yet on when the restaurant could fully reopen.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid is currently closed in Disney World. But we recently spotted some construction walls up at the show!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Disney is going to introduce a new, updated show in this spot, though it will still be themed to the animated movie The Little Mermaid! The new show will be called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” and is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Fall 2024.
Disney still hasn’t announced an official opening date for the new show, but hopefully, we’ll hear some news soon! It will be a “fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic.”
