Universal Studios Japan Announces New Year’s Eve Countdown 2025 Entertainment, VIP Packages

Universal Studios Japan announced details of “NO LIMIT! Countdown 2025,” their New Year’s Eve festivities.

Universal Studios Japan will countdown to 2025 with a special one-night-only stage show, 26 hours of unlimited attractions, and exclusive VIP tours.

Countdown Moment

In Gramercy Park on December 31, 2024, guests can gather to experience approximately 4,000 vertical fireworks lighting up the sky, as well as music and lighting effects. The countdown will begin at 11:50 p.m. and the show will end on January 1 at 12:05 a.m.

Special Stage Show

An energetic stage performance at Universal Studios Japan featuring colorful, costumed characters, a large audience, bright lights, and special effects like confetti and flames. Don't miss this spectacular Countdown 2025 event on New Year's Eve!

A one-night-only “Special Stage” show featuring the most popular entertainment of 2024 will begin at 7:10 p.m. in Gramercy Park. The show will include elements of “Kuromi Live,” “One Piece Premier Show 2024,” “NO LIMIT! Summer Dance Night with HYBE JAPAN,” and “Hami-Kuma Shout It Out Party.”

The show will also feature appearances by “Sesame Street,” “Snoopy,” “Hello Kitty,” and “Minions” characters. It will run until 12:15 a.m. on January 1.

26 Hours of Unlimited Attractions

A vibrant collage featuring theme park attractions at Universal Studios Japan, including anime characters, Mario, a dinosaur ride, and excited park-goers on a spinning ride during the Countdown 2025 New Year's Eve celebration. Confetti and colorful streaks enhance the lively atmosphere.

For 26 hours, from 7 p.m. on December 31 through 9 p.m. on January 1, guests can enjoy unlimited rides and shows throughout the park. This includes Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge in Super Nintendo World, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the limited-time Demon Slayer XR Ride: Dash Through the Swordsmith Village, and the new “Detective Conan 4-D Live Show: Jewel of the Starry Sky.”

Note that Super Nintendo World will temporarily close for maintenance and access to the land requires an entry ticket, which will be issued only once during the 26 hours.

VIP Tour Package Options

There will be three VIP tour package options for “NO LIMIT! Countdown 2025,” available to purchase starting on October 1.

A luxurious hotel suite featuring a spacious living area, large TV, dining table, and a bathroom with a large bathtub offering an expansive view of a city's night skyline through a large window—perfect for ringing in New Year's Eve or enjoying the Countdown 2025.

New this year is the Supreme Luxury Plan, which is ¥985,000 (including tax) and accommodates up to four guests. It includes private car pick-up from the Kansai area to transport guests to The Park Front Hotel, where they will enjoy a one-night stay in the top-floor suite, The Park Front Room. They will enjoy dinner with characters at the exclusive Luminant – VIP Private Lounge and Dining on the second floor of Lombard’s Landing. After dinner, guests will have a private balcony view of the “Countdown Moment.” A dedicated guide will escort guests on a tour around Universal Studios Japan.

A lavish multi-course meal is elegantly presented on a dark and gold tablecloth, featuring dishes with grilled meat, seafood, vegetables, and dessert, accompanied by wine and coffee—a perfect feast to enjoy on New Year's Eve at Universal Studios Japan's NO LIMIT! Countdown 2025 event.

General Admission Tickets

A general admission ticket, a.k.a. “Party Pass,” will start at ¥15,400 including tax. These will be available through a lottery and pre-sale, with general sales starting on November 14. Here are the details:

Guests with a “Party Pass” can enter and exit the park as many times as they want from December 31 at 7 p.m. until January 1 at 9 p.m.

Universal Studios Japan will close to regular ticket-holders at 5 p.m. on December 31. Guests with studio passes (including annual passes) valid on January 1, 2025, can enter the park starting at 2 a.m. on that day.

Thomas Kinkade Studios to Attend Artist Showcase and Signing at Disneyland This Fall

An artist showcase and signing featuring Thomas Kinkade Studios has been announced for Disneyland Resort.

Artists from the Thomas Kinkade Studios will be visiting Disneyland Resort this October and November to meet guests and showcase some of their work as part of Disneyland’s overall merchandise events series.

An art studio with framed artwork displayed on walls, a central desk with drafting tools, and an illuminated display case showcasing a castle artwork. The room, reminiscent of a haunted mansion, boasts ornate wood paneling and a high ceiling.

Thomas Kinkade Studios will be appearing October 10-13 and November 21-24, 2024 at Disneyana in Disneyland Park. The showcase and signing will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on those dates.

The works of Thomas Kinkade Studios are known for capturing the magic of Disney stories and favorite characters through the style of “narrative panoramas.” The studio continues the work of the late Kinkade, who passed away in 2012.

Disneyland Resort Magic Key holders are encouraged to ask about applicable discounts on art at the time of purchase.

The next artist showcase and signing event will be Dave Avanzino, from November 14-17 at Disneyana.

New Jurassic World Gyrosphere Popcorn Bucket Available at Universal Studios Florida

A new Jurassic World gyrosphere popcorn bucket featuring Blue the raptor is now available at Universal Orlando Resort. We found the new popcorn bucket at Universal Studios Store in Universal Studios Florida.

Blue the female velociraptor made her first appearance in “Jurassic World.” She has appeared in every film of the trilogy and the animated series “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.” She is the oldest of the four raptors trained by Owen Grady (Chris Pratt). She was featured on a bubble wand that was released at Universal Orlando Resort earlier this year.
