REVIEW: Mine Cart of Meatballs, Snake Cage of Bao Buns, and Airplane of Bacon Land at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, an Indiana Jones-themed venue in Disney Springs, has debuted a selection of new menu items, so we swung in to try them.

WDW DS Jock Lindseys Hangar Bar stock

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, next to The BOATHOUSE and across from Wine Bar George.

Snakebite Bao Buns – $15

Smoked Brisket, Ají Amarillo Mustard, Peppadew Relish, Pickled Onion, and Tomato

A wooden box with a mesh front contains two bao buns with delicious fillings inside. The box, labeled "REGGIT," is placed on a rectangular plate on a grey table, evoking the adventurous spirit of Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

The presentation for this is a spectacle in itself. The beef is tender and juicy. The flavor is reminiscent of a smash burger, and it’s served in the best bao we’ve had at Walt Disney World. The serving size is small for the price point, though.

Rating out of 7: 5

Air Tours Bacon and Waffles – $14

Spiced Candied Bacon, Chorizo Waffles, and Honey Balsamic Syrup

A decorative wooden biplane-shaped holder at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs presents strips of crispy bacon hanging by clips, with a small serving of waffle and syrup on a wooden base.

The chorizo waffle is delightful. It’s a salty, savory waffle. With the honey balsamic syrup (served in a syringe and smelled strangely like Easter egg dye), it was even better. The bacon is thick cut and tasty, but the waffle is what makes this dish special. The presentation is fantastic (as it is for many dishes here).

Ranking out of 7: 7

Bread Dip Pyramid – $12.50

Brazilian Cheese Bread, Creamy Tomato, and Chorizo Dip

A dish with a bowl of red sauce garnished with herbs and a serving of fried bread rolls on a rectangular ceramic plate, accompanied by a spoon. This savory delight can be savored at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

The pão de queijo is perfect by itself. It’s so good. We were ready to eat it plain, but the dip is fantastic. It’s perfectly paired and a hearty serving size.

Rating out of 7: 7

Mine Car Meatballs – $13

Pork and Beef Meatballs, Sweet-and-Sour BBQ, Chimichurri on Potato Hay.

A wooden serving board holds six meatballs topped with green sauce, placed on a bed of crispy fries, presented on a small cart with wheels at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

The “potato hay” is freshly made potato sticks, and they’re very good. The meatballs are great, and the sauce is a great match. The meat blend mixed with the chimichurri works very well.

Rating out of 7: 7

Impossible Meatballs – $13

A wooden tray on wheels holds five green, ball-shaped food items topped with sauce, placed on a bed of fried strings at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs. A person is seated in the background at a table.

This is a rare situation where you can get a plant-based version of a dish where the only difference is the Impossible Meatballs. It’s just substituted. We preferred the regular meatballs, as the Impossible version had far less flavor. It’s not a bad choice by any means, though.

Rating out 7: 6

Club Obi-Wan Wings – $16

Crispy Honey-Pineapple Wings with Pineapple Salsa

Chicken wings garnished with chopped pineapple, red chili slices, and cilantro on a black rectangular plate at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

It comes with eight wings. They’re wet and sticky, and taste like they were doused with pineapple juice. The wings themselves are quality chicken, but the flavor combinations just didn’t work for us. The pineapple overpowered everything.

Rating out of 7: 4

Orange Pilsner Goat Cheese Dip – $12.50

Goat Cheese whipped with Sunshine Stroll Orange Pilsner, and Peppadew served with Salt and Vinegar House Chips

Paper bags filled with homemade potato chips, accompanied by a red bowl of chive-topped dip, are served on a black rectangular tray at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

It’s a more traditional bar snack than the other dishes if that’s what you’re looking for. The goat cheese is very creamy and perfect. The salt and vinegar flavor of the chips is a little too subtle, but they’re just a platform for the amazing cheese dip anyway. It’s not a very big serving for the price.

Rating out of 7: 6

Shrimp Fried Rice Bites – $14

with Shishito Peppers and Sweet-and-Sour Sauce

They didn’t hold up very well, but the flavor was great, and the sauce made them even better. There was a nice serving of shrimp for the price point, too.

Rating out of 7: 6

Palawan Volcano Temple Dip – $12.50

Gruyère Cheese Sauce, Onion Jam, and Toasted French Bread

It’s like french onion soup in dip form. The onion jam is the predominant flavor. You really have to love onion to enjoy it, but we recommend making sure you get some of the cheese in each bite also as it’s just a layer on top of the onions.

Overall

We’ll be back for a lot of these dishes, especially the Bread Dip Pyramid. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar often rotates seasonally and switches things up, but we hope to see these stick around for a while.
