Hello Yellow, this is Nana (again, yes, AGAIN). You might start to wonder how many times Nana is in the parks… I was aiming for 250 times this year, but will probably only make it to 200 times. (I counted; from January to June, I went to 101 times.)
Let’s begin Nana’s Disney Princess Diary (aka photo report)!
It started with my princess parking. Yes, I got the princess parking — if you don’t know what princess parking is, you can read my old Disney Princess Diary — and walked onto the tram. What a great day!
The weather was much nicer than the last time I was in Hollywood Studio. It was less hot, and the sky was blue.
Today, I had my OG MagicBand from 2016.
Tried to use it at the touch point, but somehow it was “deactivated.” I’ve never deactivated any of my MagicBands, but all of my original MagicBands were deactivated. But don’t worry! You can activate them from your MDX (My Disney Experience) easily and be able to use them right away.
I used this back in May, so I assume they got deactivated between then and now.
I checked all the stores in the front, but there was no new merchandise or anything interesting. BUT my AT-AT baby is fully back! I saw him working when I was there last week, on Wednesday, but I was not working, so I couldn’t share this fantastic news with you guys until today!
If you are looking for an easy A+ Halloween costume, the Star Tour’s Cast Member costume hoodies are back in stock in a variety of sizes at Tatooine Trader.
Caught a photo of Daddy and his son taking a walk… also, Happy Belated Birthday to Max! (September 5 was his birthday.)
The parks have been slow lately. The wait for Rise of the Resistance was ONLY 45 minutes wait today. If I hadn’t been working, I would have joined the line and ridden it for sure.
Dok is back from vacation and working again, too! (Meanwhile, 8D-J8 at Ronto Roasters is still working nonstop…)
I went to check Droid Depot to see if we got the new Droid parts like Batuu West (Disneyland Galaxy’s Edge) but not yet. We are too far east, I guess.
Woody’s Lunch Box pavement work started last week Wednesday.
This caught me really off guard because I’ve been writing about this in my photo reports. Maybe my Disney Princess Diary became the wish book that you can find at Pinocchio Village Haus.
Jokes aside, we did find Frozone chilling in Pixar Plaza (You can also meet Joy, Edna Mode, Sully, Mr. Incredible, and Elastigirl here).
No change to Voyage of the Little Mermaid even though they are supposedly reopening with a new show, “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” in Fall 2024, which it should be open anytime…
Today’s Animal Break – “A Real Squirrel and Chip”
In case you are wondering what kind of ears they have right now, this is what’s in stock at Once Upon a Time. I know lots of people ask/look up the current variety of ears. I might start to put more of those in my Disney Princess Diary going forward. (Maybe Loungefly and Spirit Jersey, too… let me know what would help you guys in the comments!)
This is where the sky started to fall. In Florida, if you start to feel a nice breeze and dark clouds, you need t take out your rain gear immediately. If you don’t have themm get in line for indoor attractions or hunker down for lunch! Most of the time, the rain will pass in 15-20 minutes. Sometimes, it might take 30 minutes, but usually, it will pass quickly.
I love rainy parks; that’s why I always wear my not-so-cheap sandals, so I don’t need to worry about my shoes getting wet.
I had to run to Grand Floridian to check the Boat Transportation; I took a resort bus from Hollywood Studios.
You can see the big dark cloud approaching…
I also found out that now you can check the Disney Bus Schedule on Google Maps.
This helps me figure out how long I can spend reporting at the resort before the next bus arrives. Also, the guests who are staying on the property can make a plan easily. I was staying on the property last week and didn’t know about this. So I went to the bus stop from my room and figured I just missed the bus…
This Google Maps feature is pretty accurate. On Google Maps, the bus was scheduled at 2:20p. On the resort TV, the bus was scheduled at 2:19p. The actual bus came at 2:16p and left at 2:21p.
As soon as I got on the bus back to Hollywood Studios, it started to rain, but Hollywood Studios was still sunny… #ThisIsFlorida
Since I had the princess parking today, I beat the rain!
This concludes today’s Disney Princess Diary. I know the weather is crazy and not too hot anymore… But please keep hydrated! I’ve seen lots of people passing out from dehydration in the parks still.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) and keep refilling from the water filler throughout the water filler or quick service locations!
Have a magical day, and see ya real soon!
