After closing as Critter Country in May, Bayou Country in Disneyland has (mostly) reopened. Guests can once again enjoy The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and gift shop Pooh Corner. We also have our first look at Louis’ Critter Club, a new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure gift shop.
Pooh Corner Reopens
The side of the store with treats has remained the same. The exterior features a sign for Teddi Barra’s Swingin’ Arcade, which has long since closed.
The interior of Pooh Corner looks much the same, with giant bees, hive lights, and birthday decorations.
Louis’ Critter Club
Where there used to be a hallway leading into the rest of the store is now a wall and door. A sign advertises Louis’ Critter Club coming soon.
The sign features a stanza of music notes. The new store will take up the left side of the building. Disney described the space as the home away from home for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure critters. Guests will be able to purchase apparel, accessories, home decor, and more featuring the new ride’s characters.
Outside, one of the windows has been decorated with a bayou-inspired display. Though it’s hard to photograph in the sun, there’s a tree stump, moss, and reeds set against a background inspired by “The Princess and the Frog” scenery.
This looks like a tiny house a creature has constructed in the bayou. Blue fabric on the floor of the display resembles water.
There’s a trumpet and jug for critters to play music.
Tiny glass bottles, like those at Mama Odie’s place, hang from ropes.
Critter Country was recently renamed Bayou Country to match the theming of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Briar Patch will become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure store Ray’s Berets. Hungry Bear Restaurant is becoming Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, inspired by Country Bear Musical Jamboree. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open this November at Disneyland.
