Refurbishment on the exterior of Dinsey’s Polynesian Village Resort Bungalows has begun, as the entire resort is refreshed for the eventual opening of the new DVC Island Tower.
Polynesian Village Resort Bungalows
Scaffolding now surrounds the exteriors of these first two bungalows at the Polynesian. The bungalows are one of the most expensive and luxurious accommodations on Walt Disney World property. We were lucky enough to stay in one just two years ago; you can check out our tour of the Bora Bora Bungalow and its renovated interior.
During our visit, we only saw crew members painting the exterior of the building. It appears that refurbishment on the bungalows is limited to just exterior work for now.
This should come as no surprise, as earlier in the summer Disney released the news that the Polynesian Village Resort would be under construction and refurbishment through 2026.
When visiting the Polynesian for a DVC Tower construction update, our reporters indicated that many buildings have been getting power washed and painted.
