Traditional Macaroni and Cheese with Herbed Panko – $5.50
This is an outstanding basic macaroni and cheese. The cheddar is smooth and creamy, and the panko adds the perfect amount of crunch. What takes it to the next level is a small amount of spice, that we believe may have been paprika. Even though this was the simplest dish on the menu, it was our favorite.

*NEW* Cheesesteak Macaroni and Cheese with Shaved Beef, Peppers and Onions, and Breadcrumbs – $6.50
The peppers are really nice, adding a little roasted tang without heat. It comes in a nice, hefty portion. The flavors are exactly what you’d expect, but surprisingly good.
Rank out of 7: 6
Truffle Macaroni and Cheese – $6.50
The truffle macaroni & cheese was surprisingly well-executed. It’s a white cheddar cheese with the same macaroni as the other dishes. Neither the shaved truffle on top nor the truffle oil has the artificial taste you sometimes get from a truffle dish. It includes the same herbed panko as the traditional mac but overall doesn’t have quite as much flavor as the other dishes. It’s a good option if you want truffle flavor, but it’s at the bottom end of this booth’s options.
Rank out of 7: 4
IMPOSSIBLE Chili Macaroni and Cheese with Sour Cream and Cheddar – $6.50
This dish was disappointing. It tasted like they took dry pasta and topped it with chili, and it was bland. We wanted more cheddar cheese in this dish and more flavor and spice in the chili. Stirring the chili up with the macaroni helped even out the flavor a bit, but it was still on the bland side and needed more. We would recommend ordering one of the other options.

- Beer Flight – $ 10.25
- Goldschmidt ‘Katherine’ Cabernet Sauvignon – $15
- Martin Ray Chardonnay – $7
Kielbasa and Potato Pierogies with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream – $6
Frankly, this is gross. They’re nothing more than overcooked Mrs. T’s Pierogies. There are only a few slices of kielbasa and they’re a cheap store brand you can barely taste. They were also overcooked and too tough. The caramelized onions were the only edible part of the dish.
Rank out of 7: 1
BBQ Pork Rinds served with Pimento Cheese – $5
Some in our group like this, others think it’s terrible. A few of the pork rinds were a little over-fried and too hard to chew. The pimento was rich and cheesy with a very present peppery heat. However, there was also a sweetness that some of us thought ruined the dish. If you don’t mind the blending of sweet barbecue and savory pimento cheese, this might appeal to you.
Rank out of 7: 4
Key Lime Tart – $4.75
Below a layer of wonderful toasted meringue is a distinct lime filling encased in a buttery crust. This is an impressive dessert and belongs at Festival Favorites.
Rank out of 7: 7
Frozen S’mores: Chocolate Milk Shake with Marshmallow syrup topped with Mini Marshmallows and a Graham Cracker (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.75
This drink remains a fun and delicious option. It’s a pleasant chocolate milk slushy topped with a Graham cracker piece, mini marshmallows, and chocolate shavings. It’s something adults and kids can enjoy.
Rank out of 7: 7
Irish Milk Shake: Guinness Stout, Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur, and Vanilla Ice Cream – $12.50
Bailey’s will run you about $18/bottle at your local liquor store, but good luck mixing a Guinness and Bailey’s shake like this at home. EPCOT provides a smooth, rich, and creamy shake that is simply to die for. There’s a hint of Bailey’s cream liquor and an underlying flavor of Guinness Stout. The chocolate flakes help bring this mixture together into one perfect drink. And you still get the souvenir Ireland plastic cup to take home!

Connections Eatery
Food:
- Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Pickled Cucumbers on a Brioche Bun – $12.49
Beverages:
- Blackberry Caipiroska: Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Minute Maid Lemonade, Strawberries Blackberry syrup, and Frosted Mint syrup – $15
*NEW* Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Pickled Cucumbers on a Brioche Bun – $12.49
This is juicy, it’s the right thickness, and the flavors were fantastic. Sweet and savory played together perfectly, and the bun was fresh. This should be a permanent item on the menu.
Rank out of 7: 7
*NEW* Blackberry Caipiroska: Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Minute Maid Lemonade, Strawberries Blackberry syrup, and Frosted Mint syrup – $7
This appears to be a “Russian” take on a Brazilian Caipirinha using vodka instead of cachaca. It has a medicinal syrup taste that gets worse the further you get into it. We hated it, but bystanders who tried it thought it was okay.

Coastal Eats
Food:
- Roasted Warm Water Lobster Tail with Garlic Butter – $13.00
- Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Cocktail Sauce – $13.00
Beverages:
- Wildly Brut Cuvée, Angaston, South Australia – $7.00
- Boyd & Blair Pomegranate Codder, Glenshaw, PA – $12.00
- CORKCICLE® Stemless Flute – $24.00
*NEW* Roasted Warm Water Lobster Tail with Garlic Butter – $13.00
This is a pretty good value for $13. The taste was good. Some complained about the taste of the garlic butter, but, in our eyes, that wasn’t enough to ruin a good offering.
Rank out of 7: 6.5
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Cocktail Sauce – $13.00
This dish contains two large shrimp, plus the cocktail sauce and charred lemon. Honestly, we weren’t impressed. The shrimp didn’t seem particularly fresh and had more of a fishy taste than we would have liked. For the price, it looks like a good deal, but we would skip it.

The Fry Basket
Food:
- Adobo Yuca Fries with Garlic-Cilantro Aïoli – $5.75
- Fry Flight – $8.00
- Truffle-Parmesan Fries
- Barbeque Bacon Fries with Smoked Aïoli
- Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with Candied Pecans, Toasted Marshmallow Cream and Bourbon Maple Syrup
Beverages:
- Collective Arts Brewing Mango-Rita Sour with Chili, Ontario, Canada – $5.75 for 6 oz/$9.75 for 12 oz
- Boyd & Blair Grapefruit Mule, Glenshaw, PA – $12.00
Adobo Yuca Fries with Garlic-Cilantro Aïoli – $5.75
These were nicely cooked with a light, crisp outer layer. They have steak fry consistency and a generous amount of seasoning. The garlic cilantro aioli adds creaminess, but not much flavor to the fries.
Rank out of 7: 6
Fry Flight – $8.00
All of the fries are cooked nicely — soft on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. The barbecue bacon fries were our favorite. They were perfectly seasoned, and the smoked aioli added to the BBQ flavor.
The sweet potato fries are the sweet option to contrast the two savory dishes. They have a cinnamon sugar seasoning. You don’t taste much of the marshmallow cream (ours melted). The candied pecans add crunch and more sweetness to the fries.
New to the trio is the parmesan fries. They were the least remarkable. They are just basic fries with a little bit of parmesan cheese. Compared to the smoky taste of the bacon fries and the sweet taste of the sweet potato fries, they don’t offer much. We were split between 5 and 6, but the blandness of the parmesan fries wasn’t enough to drop the rating.

Flavors from Fire
Food:
- Impossible Montreal-Style Burger Slider with Cheddar and Tomato Jam on a Sesame Seed Bun – $6.00
- Steakhouse Blended Burger: Beef and Wild Mushroom Slider with Truffle Brie Cheese Fondue, Arugula and Truffle Potato Chips on a Sesame Seed Bun – $6.25
- Smoked Corned Beef with House-Made Potato Chips, Cheese Curds, Pickled Onions and Beer-Cheese Fondue – $6.52
Beverages:
- Deschutes Brewery Black Butte Porter, Bend, OR – $5.75 for 6 oz/$9.75 for 12 oz
- Four Virtues Bourbon Barrel Zinfandel, Lodi, CA – $6.50
- Swine Brine: Jim Beam Bourbon, Apple Cinnamon Cider, Lemon Juice, and Dijon Mustard – $11.50
*NEW* Impossible Montreal-Style Burger Slider with Cheddar and Tomato Jam on a Sesame Seed Bun – $6.00
The Impossible Burger was great. The vegan cheese was typical plastic but the burger itself was amazing. It was cooked perfectly and the tomato was a good accompaniment. The sesame bun adds a touch of class. We give this 5/7 but vegans will probably give it 7/7.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Steakhouse Blended Burger: Beef and Wild Mushroom Slider with Truffle Brie Cheese Fondue, Arugula and Truffle Potato Chips on a Sesame Seed Bun – $6.25
The steakhouse burger was phenomenal (if you like mushrooms). It’s definitely a contender for our top 7 items of the festival. It’s perfectly cooked, with a mushroom-forward flavor that melds with cheese to create a luscious burger. The potato chip was fine but frankly, unnecessary, though it did add a bit of crunch. Again we appreciate the upgraded sesame bun.
Rank out of 7: 7
Smoked Corned Beef with House-Made Potato Chips, Cheese Curds, Pickled Onions and Beer-Cheese Fondue – $6.50
The beer cheese fondue carries a lot of the dish, but the rest of it isn’t as memorable. When you get a chip with the pickled onion, the meat, and the fondue, it does have a decent balance of flavor. Overall, there are lots of different textures, but without the fondue, this dish wouldn’t be as great.
Rank out of 7: 5
Swine Brine: Jim Beam Bourbon, Apple Cinnamon Cider, Lemon Juice and Dijon Mustard – $11.50
In 2017, this surprisingly good drink was made with Evan Williams bourbon. In recent years, they’ve switched to the more well-known Jim Beam bourbon, but no matter – it’s still good! The Swine Brine is definitely one of the most unique cocktails offered this year at the festival, and many were surprised at just how good (read: weird) this ended up being. It’s a combination of apple juice, lemon juice, bourbon, and mustard, which sounds pretty terrible. Needless to say, everyone in our group grimaced before they tried it, but they ended up enjoying it more than expected. WARNING: It may not be for everyone. Also, don’t dip the pork in.

- Pickle Milk Shake (nonalcoholic) – $6
- Beer Flight – $10.25
*NEW* Unnecessarily Spicy Yet Extremely Tasty Carolina Reaper Pepper Curry Wings with Creamy Cucumber Raita – $7.75
These are predictably hot. The spice was tolerable but intense, at least to our group who are accustomed to eating spicy offerings at Disney. You probably won’t find anything spicier at Walt Disney World right now. The sauce seems to be a paste applied to the wings and adds a bizarre layer to the texture before your mouth is overwhelmed by heat. Overall, this is a solid offering.
Rank out of 7: 6
Traditional Buffalo Wings with Celery and Ranch – $7.75
This doesn’t have the best Buffalo flavor. It’s pretty mild and borderline barbecue-tasting. These are generic wings you could get anywhere.
Rank out of 7: 3
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings – $7.75
These wings are arguably the most interesting item on the food menu, but one of our favorites! We found the flavors to work even though we didn’t have a ton of the grape gel. We enjoyed the crunch from the peanuts on top, adding some texture to the overall dish. If you don’t mind trying food that’s “out of the box” we definitely recommend this.
Rank out of 7: 6
Garlic-Parmesan Wings – $7.75
These are super greasy. It’s hard to even get to the point where you can taste the garlic parmesan flavor because they’re so oily. Due to the grease, we also found them to not be nearly as crispy as they should be. We were worried it would be hard to mass-produce wings for an EPCOT festival, and this dish confirms that suspicion.
Rank out of 7: 2
Impossible Buffalo Chicken Tenders with Blue Cheese, Celery and Ranch – $7.75
We were surprised when we received this dish because the portion size looked gigantic. Overall the “meat” was tender, with an enjoyable Buffalo sauce flavor. While the sauce carried a bit of heat, the plant-based ranch was creamy and definitely helped bring the level down. This is a great option for plant-based eaters, or carnivores who just want to give it a try!
Rank out of 7: 6
Fried Pickle Spears with Dill Ranch – $5.75
These are pretty much your standard restaurant fried pickles. Note that they are spears, not chips. Some people think chips are superior. Some people like the spears better. We don’t really care one way or the other. The sauce on top has an unremarkable flavor. We would rather have a normal ranch.
Rank out of 7: 5
Frozen Pomegranate & Raspberry Tea: Twinings® Pomegranate & Raspberry Herbal Tea with Orange Ice Cream Molecules (nonalcoholic) – $5
Whatever you think of when you hear “theme park slushies” is exactly how we would describe this drink. It’s a standard slushy, with nothing really exciting about it. It’s advertised as having an orange ice cream crumbled on the top, but it’s much more like an orange popsicle due to the consistency and flavor. There’s nothing memorable about this drink, outside of the cup.
Rank out of 7: 3
Pickle Milk Shake (nonalcoholic) – $6
Returning from last year, it’s Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beakers’ creation: the pickle milkshake. It’s super milky on the front end, with a dill flavor that lingers. Overall, we found the dill to almost overpower the odd pickle flavor. As pickle lovers, we would get this again, but caution you that if you aren’t as big of a fan of the sour taste as us, maybe stay away. Of course, the cup that you can take home could be another incentive to try it.

Food:
- Ramen with Shaved Beef, Shiitake Mushrooms, Pickled Carrots and Daikon Radish, Shaved Spicy Peppers and a Soy Egg in Citrus-Sesame Broth – $6.00
- Thai Shrimp with Rice Noodles, Shiitake Mushrooms and Basil in Coconut-Curry Broth – $6.75
- Ramen with Tofu, Shiitake Mushrooms, Pickled Carrots and Daikon Radish, Shaved Spicy Peppers and Baby Bok Choy in Citrus-Sesame Broth – $5.75
Beverages:
- Parish Brewing Co. Strawberry Mochi, Broussard, LA – $5.75 for 6 oz/$9.75 for 12 oz
- Pacific Rim Solstice Vineyard Old Vine Riesling, Yakima Valley, WA – $8.00
Ramen with Shaved Beef, Shiitake Mushrooms, Pickled Carrots and Daikon Radish, Shaved Spicy Peppers and a Soy Egg in Citrus-Sesame Broth – $6.00
Overall, this is a solid dish. The ramen noodles were well-cooked, soft, and buttery in flavor. The broth added a saltiness that we thought was needed, balancing everything well. The vegetables added a nice textural component, giving a bit of crunch. Even the beef was prepared well and juicy! This is a winner.
Rank out of 7: 6
Thai Shrimp with Rice Noodles, Shiitake Mushrooms and Basil in Coconut-Curry Broth – $6.75
The shrimp that we were given in our portion made paying for the dish well worth it. Overall, we found the curry flavor to be present, but not overwhelming. However, it felt like the curry could be thicker and have more vegetables in it to be considered “traditional.” It’s not bad for what it is.
Rank out of 7: 4
Ramen with Tofu, Shiitake Mushrooms, Pickled Carrots and Daikon Radish, Shaved Spicy Peppers and Baby Bok Choy in Citrus-Sesame Broth – $5.75
This was our least favorite of the three offerings from the booth. Our two Enoki mushrooms were barely cooked, making it difficult to eat. Along with that, the tofu had a decent consistency but was very bland. If you don’t eat meat, this isn’t the worst option, but there are probably better ones from different booths at the festival.

- Poblano Margarita: Lalo Tequila Blanco, Abasolo Corn Whisky, Lime Juice and Ancho Reyes Verde Chile Poblano Liqueur with a Salt Rim- $13
- Mexican Craft Beer – $6 for 6 oz/$11 for 12 oz
*NEW* Tostada de Camarones: Tempura-Battered Shrimp atop a Fried Corn Tortilla with Guacamole, Cabbage, Chipotle Aïoli, Diced Mango and Chile-Lime Powder – $7.75
This Tempura batter is better than any we’ve ever had from the Japan Pavilion. Really, the shrimp is so good. They’re plump, juicy, and a good size. The accompaniments don’t add anything to the dish, but the shrimp are so good that we have to give this a great rating.
Rank out of 7: 6
*NEW* Flauta de Barbacoa: Fried Tortillas filled with Barbacoa Beef topped with Salsa Verde, Crema Mexicana and Queso Fresco- $8.00
This has a nice kick, but the flavors are basic overall. That being said, sometimes you want the most basic version of the thing that you ordered. If you want a flauta that is going to check all the boxes without doing anything overly great, this hits the spot.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Pan de Elote: Traditional Mexican Cornbread topped with Chocolate Sauce and Queso Fresco- $6.00
What a great dessert. If you can get all the flavors in one bite, it’s like eating an entire meal. You get the sweetness of the cornbread and the richness of the dark chocolate, and then the cheese sneaks in and brings it all together. This is unlike anything we’ve ever had at the festival.
Rank out of 7: 6
*NEW* Mango Sunrise Margarita: Dos Hombres Mezcal, Centinela Tequila, Mango Purée and Black Currant Liqueur, with a Chile-Lime Salt Rim- $13.25
The drinks always disappoint us at the Mexico booth, and this year is no different. This drink tastes like Chloraseptic. The salt is good, but how hard is it to put a good rim of salt on a margarita? Skip this drink.
Rank out of 7: 2
*NEW* Poblano Margarita: Lalo Tequila Blanco, Abasolo Corn Whisky, Lime Juice and Ancho Reyes Verde Chile Poblano Liqueur with a Salt Rim- $13
There is nothing special about this drink. It tastes like a margarita, so if that’s what you want, then great. But there is no poblano flavor at all. We wanted some heat, or at least a little extra flavor. Instead, this is just bland and watered down. Go to one of the locations in Mexico that sells margaritas every day and you’ll get a much better drink.

- Orange Mango Cocktail: Gold Tequila, Vodka, Orange Juice and Mango Syrup – $14.00
- Brew Hub Lychee Foo Draft Beer, Lakeland, FL – $5.75 for 6 oz/$9.75 for 12 oz
*NEW* Crispy Duck Bao Bun with Hoisin Sauce – $8.25
This was a little small for $8.25, but it’s a decent item. The meat is nice and tender, but it’s also flavorless. All we tasted was the Hoisin sauce, so if you like that flavor, then this could be a good option for you. The bao is cooked well and soft, but we’d probably skip this for the price.
Rank out of 7: 4
*NEW* Shanghai Scallion Noodles with Shrimp – $8.50
This looks so much better than it tastes. The shrimp was really bad. It was chewy and tasted like it hadn’t been microwaved long enough to be considered fully cooked. The noodles were fine, but there was nothing great about them. We’re probably being generous with our rating.
Rank out of 7: 2
Pan-Fried Chicken Dumplings with House-made Sweet-and-Spicy Sauce – $5.50
The dumpling wrapper was very chewy, leading us to believe this was overcooked. The filling also didn’t provide much flavor, and even though there was a decent amount of sauce covering the dumplings, we didn’t get any heat. We’d skip this one.
Rank out of 7: 2
*NEW* Mango Peach Bubble Tea: Green Tea, Mango and Peach Syrups and White Boba (nonalcoholic) – $7.75
This drink is the best new item from this booth. If you like peach, you’re going to love this. If you don’t like peach, you’re going to hate this. It was very refreshing.
Rank out of 7: 5
Baijiu Punch: Baijiu Spirit, Lychee Syrup, Sparkling Water and Piña Colada Mix – $14.50
This is one of the most refreshing drinks of the festival, with subtle hints of the featured flavors. Nothing is overpowering, and the alcohol pour is relatively heavy. It’s a solid choice.
Rank out of 7: 6
Fiery Dream: Citrus Vodka, Triple Sec Liqueur, Guava Nectar and Spicy Hot Honey Syrup – $14.00
This starts out with a palate that feels like any mixed drink. It’s a standard theme park cocktail, pretty simple, but after that, you get the taste of the hot honey. We liked that addition, as it’s what makes this cocktail unique. Instead of being a drink that you’ve tasted a thousand times at any theme park or bar, the hot honey makes this worth a visit.
Rank out of 7: 6
Orange Mango Cocktail: Gold Tequila, Vodka, Orange Juice and Mango Syrup – $14.00
Ignite your taste buds with this drink! Connoisseurs of Jose Cuervo will definitely know that this is Gold tequila instead of Silver, as the taste is very prevalent. It’s also a sweet drink with lots of mango flavor. Overall, we found it yummy and refreshing, like all of the other drinks available at this booth.

- CORKCICLE® Stemless Flute – $24.00
Potato and Pea Samosa with Coriander-Lime Cream – $5.50
The portion is great, the flavor is present, and it’s at a decent price! It has a great spice profile we would expect from India. It’s slightly mushy but that was expected. The crust is not as crispy as we’d like but we enjoyed it and would get it again.

Chicken Tikka Masala with Fennel-Spiced Yogurt and Naan Bread – $6.25
Absolutely delicious. Great portion size and the perfect chicken tikka masala. The flavor is exactly what you would expect. The bread is toasted well and you get the perfect crunch. The spices are not overwhelming but we really loved this.
Rank out of 7: 7
Mango Lassi (nonalcoholic) – $5.00
This version has more of the mango flavor out of the two. It’s a better flavor, but we prefer the version with the liquor. It almost tastes like eggnog with a hint of chai.
Rank out of 7: 4
Mango Lassi with Sōmrus Chai Cream Liqueur – $11.50
This is essentially chai custard in a glass. The flavor is good, but it’s way too hot for this. The alcohol is there but just barely.

*NEW* Impossible Spicy Sausage with Piri Piri Peppers and Onions and Piri Piri Aïoli – $6.50
This is a nice big portion for the price. It has a little kick to it, but it’s not overwhelming. The sausage is well cooked, though it doesn’t taste like the sausage they have everywhere else. However, that may be because of the sauce. Definitely worth it.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Curried Chicken and South African Boerewors Sausage Stew with Chickpeas and Potatoes served in a Bread Bowl – $5.75
This reminded us of the Lentil and Sausage Soup available at Boma. It’s very earthy with a grainy flavor. It won’t blow you away, but it’s tasty. We’d wait until the weather cools off a bit before eating this. In October and November, this could be a 6.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Chocolate Amarula Mousse with White Chocolate – $6.25
This is essentially a large Zebra Dome from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s a good size for the price. Other than size, the difference is the base, which is a chocolate cookie wafer instead of cake. We prefer the cookie.
This is a fantastic dessert. It’s nice and soft. The cake is moist. There’s the perfect level of sweetness. This is a must-get.

The Swiss cheese comes from an actual block of cheese that they’re melting and then scraping onto the plate. It’s a unique tactic, that’s also incredibly tasty. Unlike many dishes at the festival, this one has a good bread-to-cheese ratio.

Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Alpine Ham, Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette – $5.75
This is kind of like an adult Lunchables. The only difference between this and the other raclette dish is that one has ham and the other doesn’t, but the ham is easily removable. The bread is fresh and very soft. It tastes like the baguette from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion. The ham is just like the cold cuts you’d get at a supermarket; they’re nothing super special.

Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake and Meringues – $6.00
This dish comes with so many components to dip into your fondue! The fruit was fresh and yummy, with or without the chocolate. The pound cake was sweet and moist. However, the real winner to pair with the chocolate was the meringue’s. We highly recommend this dessert.

Frozen Rosé – $9.00
This is the best “frosé” in EPCOT. But remember, it is Walt Disney World, so it’s not going to blow your mind. It’s a very nice, light yet enjoyable frosé. Cheers!

Schinkennudeln: Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions and Cheese – $5.25
We love the flavors of this dish, but it’s very, very heavy. It would be the perfect dish to warm up with in the fall when it finally cools off…but it’s summer. The dish is composed of pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese. Everything fits together nicely and is layered like a casserole. It may be a bit greasy, but its flavor and large portion size for sharing make it worth it.

Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll with Mustard – $6.25
It’s a safe bet, it’s good for everyone. The actual brat is nothing crazy, but it’s well done. It’s a standard pretzel bun with a standard mustard dipping sauce.

Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce – $4.75
While not particularly exciting, this dessert has become a staple at the Food & Wine Festival. The crispy and flaky exterior holds in large chunks of well-cooked apple and cinnamon with a plentiful side of vanilla sauce. Recommended, especially at the price.

- Quinta del ’67 Almansa Garnacha Tintorera, Alicante – $7.50
*NEW* Spanish Charcuterie: Jamón, Manchego and Pan Con Tomate – $6.50
The Jamón takes a bit of work to cut. The bread is nice and crunchy, and of course, you can’t go wrong with melty manchego. All around, this charcuterie is very good and everything is how you want it to be. For the price, we think it’s a killer deal. The portion was enough for our entire group to get more than a bite or two.

*NEW* Paella Negra: Squid Ink Rice with Shrimp, Bay Scallops and Octopus served with Garlic Aïoli – $8.00
We started with the shrimp in the paella because it’s the least adventurous. The octopus is a little chewy, and the shrimp is sadly not great. Both are a bit dry for our tastes. Our rice was also not cooked well. The dish is also quite fragrant, and not in a good way.

*NEW* Italian Style “Nachos”: Homemade Beef Ragout, Pasta Chips, Tomato Sauce and Dried Ricotta Cheese – $9.25
Every year, the Italy booth does something gross. There have been a couple of times recently when they had edible dishes. This, however, looks like something you would feed to your dog. We really didn’t want to eat this. If you had not described this as Italian, and you told us that a child put the menu together, we’d think it was okay.
The seasoning on the meat is more akin to school lunchroom taco meat rather than Italian seasoning. We also don’t think there are enough chips to account for the cost of these nachos and to balance the amount of meat in the dish.
Plain and simple, this is gross.
Rank out of 7: 1
*NEW* Polpettine Toscane: Beef Meatballs, Rosemary Focaccia and Pomodoro Sauce – $8.50
This dish is also reminiscent of school lunchroom food. The sauce is so powerful, that it almost tries to mask the meatball. The meatballs themselves are dry, overseasoned, and almost too salty on the inside. The rosemary focaccia is serviceable.
Rank out of 7: 1
*NEW* Vanilla Cheesecake: Vanilla Cheesecake, Whipped Cream and Fresh Strawberry Sauce – $7.75
We wish this had some kind of crust, but instead, it’s just a coin of cheesecake. It’s not a bad cheesecake but still is to the level of school dessert to us. The portion is terrible for the price.
Rank out of 7: 2
*NEW* Bellini Spritz – $14.00
The Bellini Spritz is a little syrupy, sticky, and perhaps too sweet, but is likely what most people would want. It’s very crisp and dry.

Italian Red Sangria – $12.00
Have you ever put red wine in the microwave? That’s what this is. We thought sangria came with ice and fruit, but this was just a room-temperature liquid. The flavor was fruity, so it could have been really good, but as it got hotter, it was just too warm to drink.
Rank out of 7: 2
Italian-inspired Blood Orange Margarita: Tequila, Triple Sec and Blood Orange Liqueur – $12.00
We would ask how this is Italian, but considering we just ate Italian nachos, we’re probably beyond that question. It tastes like pink lemonade. It’s super tart, like there’s a pound of sugar in one cup. It’s barely passable, which makes it the best thing from the Italy booth.

*NEW* Pineapple Chipotle Lemonade: Minute Maid® Lemonade and Chipotle Pineapple Syrup, with a Chili-Lime Salt Rim (nonalcoholic) – $5.29
This is a great mix of spicy and sweet, and we’d call it the best drink we’ve had at the festival so far. The warmth of the Tajin lingers, which we enjoy. You can also add vodka to it for $9.70 total, and that might be the best $9.70 you’ll spend at EPCOT. Even without said alcohol, we still think it’s great.

*NEW* New York-Style: All-Beef Hot Dog with Sauerkraut, Onion-Tomato Sauce and Spicy Mustard in a Brioche Bun – $6.75
This is great. The sausage link is perfectly cooked. It doesn’t have a tough exterior. It’s tender with a good flavor. The bun is fresh and soft. The sauerkraut and onion-tomato sauce complements the dog well.

*NEW* Chicago-Style: All-Beef Hot Dog with Tomato, Dill Pickle, Pickled Sport Pepper, Diced Onions, Yellow Mustard and Chicago Green Relish in a Poppy Seed Bun – $6.75
Obviously the sausage on this hot dog is the same as the New York-style dog — tender and well-cooked. It’s good but these toppings are a little harder to eat without making a mess. It doesn’t work as well as the others.

*NEW* Wagyu Temaki Sushi: Hand-held Sushi with Sweet and Savory American Wagyu Beef, topped with Takana Japanese Pickles and Spicy Mayo Sauce – $9.50
This isn’t really hand-held, it’s a bit too messy and hot. The ground beef is well-cooked and well-seasoned. The rice is cooked fine, too. It’s nothing special, we could probably make it at home. It’s essentially a Japanese cheeseburger. That said, it tastes good.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Eel Temaki Sushi: Hand-Held Sushi with Grilled Eel, Egg Crumbles, Cucumber and Pickled Daikon Radish served with Eel Sauce – $9.50
This is decent. It’s cooked well. It’s not chewy or fishy. The sauce gives it a nice sweet flavor.
Rank out of 7: 5
Teriyaki Chicken Bun: Steamed Bun filled with Minced Chicken, Vegetables and Teriyaki Sauce – $7.95
Inside of this delicately prepared bao bun is a good amount of shredded chicken tossed in a sweet teriyaki sauce. The menu description says there are vegetables in there, but there’s far more chicken than vegetables—and that’s a good thing! There’s a lot of value here, it’s a relatively large portion for the price, especially in EPCOT Festival terms. It’s a tasty and safe bet for this year’s festival.
Rank out of 7: 6

Spanakopita – $5.00
This was sadly just not that good. Spanakopita should have a flaky, crunchy bite to it, but these were chewy. The phyllo was greasy. One of our reporters called it “the Sam’s Club.” The spinach and feta flavor was decent, but not worth the texture.
Rank out of 7: 4
Impossible Moussaka – $5.50
The dish is both sweet and savory, giving it a holiday feeling, The Impossible “beef” is pretty tasty. It comes with a lot of potato and cheese, topped with béchamel sauce. This is a winner!
Rank out of 7: 6
Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey – $5.00
The caramelized top has a ton of flavor. It almost tastes like a cross between cheese and crème brûlée. The pistachio adds a nice crunch, adding sweetness and saltiness to the overall flavor. It’s a really good cheese dish. If you love cheese, and you want something creative, this is definitely a good item to try.
Rank out of 7: 6
Lamb Gyro with Shaved Lettuce, Tomato-Cucumber Relish and Tzatziki on Warm Flatbread – $6.75
The gyro meat was dry and chewy but the flavor was authentic. A bit light on the meat and too much of everything else. We found the pita to be thick and the main flavor came from the tzatziki sauce. If we had less sauce, or even some of the side, we would’ve liked this more. It’s good, just not great, and there are better options from this booth.

Grilled Kebabs with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli – $6.25
This is thigh meat chicken, nicely seasoned. The salad has raisins, chickpeas, and shredded carrots, topped with garlic aioli. The chicken is nicely cooked, it’s very tender. Seasoned perfectly, but not hot. The slaw is the perfect complement to its sweetness.
The lamb has quite a kick to it. It’s a tender, well-cooked, hearty kebab. Both options are great.

Fried Falafel Pita with Tomato-Cucumber Relish and Tahini Sauce – $5.50
The pita bread itself isn’t very sturdy, so we recommend grabbing a fork for this one. Other than that, we found the falafel to be decent enough, with a nice spiced flavor. The portion size was large, which we appreciated. It’s a decent choice, but not our favorite at this booth.
Rank out of 7: 5
Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with Assorted Dips – $5.50
The orange sauce is the zhoug. It’s tangy and spiced at the same time, slightly reminiscent of a tomato sauce. The chermoula is green and contains herbs and aioli. The cream-colored one is the hummus. It’s tangy, but still pretty good. If you want a really superb hummus, go to Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, but this one is still good all the same. We enjoyed this, but wish there was more bread to go with the dips.

Beer-Braised Beef served with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes – $6.25
Previously, the beer-braised beef was found on a waffle as well. A few years ago they decided it looked more attractive on mashed potatoes, and we agree. It’s also a lot easier to eat! The beef is ultra tender and falls apart with a fork, and there’s plenty of gravy and mashed potatoes to help soak each other up. It’s an absolutely fantastic dish, albeit not looking the most photogenic. We recommend checking it out. Actually, we’re going to recommend everything here at Belgium.

Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream – $5.50
And this one is the berry compote version. There’s a much more prevalent topping on this waffle compared to the drizzle of chocolate. Both are really sweet and tasty, it comes down to personal preference. At the price, you really can’t go wrong with the freshly prepared waffles.

Feijoada: Black Beans with Pork Belly, Brazil Nut Pesto and BEN’S ORIGINAL Long Grain White – $6.50
Despite this dish being offered for a few years in a row, it seems they still have some tweaking to do if it’s going to stay on the menu. We found the pork belly really difficult to cut, and it didn’t appear to be cooked very well. The real standout part of this dish was the supporting flavors that came from the rice and beans. Pass on this for now.

This soup is creamy and has bacon bits throughout. Hints of cheddar cheese make this the best soup on property. It is very hot out for soup, but it still hits the spot. We recommend dipping the pretzel bread into the soup. As good as it is, the price is still a bit high for the portion, but year after year, we keep coming back.

Filet Mignon* with Mushrooms, Boursin® Garlic and Fine Herbs Mashed Potatoes and Boursin® Garlic and Fine Herbs Butter – $9.75
This is the same filet mignon that they’ve had at the Canada Pavilion for a while, but they’ve changed it up a little bit with the addition of a new side. The mashed potatoes are very good, and we wish there were more of them. They’re beyond delicious! They have a cheesy flavor to them. We mixed in the butter with the potatoes, and they were even better. They’re perfectly rich and a great new addition which helps make us feel like we’re getting our money’s worth. The filet is cooked to about medium. It remains to be one of the best items, as it’s well-cooked with really good flavor and quality. (In all honesty, this dish almost tastes too good to be at the festival, especially in terms of the high standard of the beef.) Compared to a lot of the other dishes, this filet is the king of the festival!

The cheese curds are okay, but the real standout here is the Boursin, which was plentiful and an excellent accompaniment to the beef. The gherkin relish was sparse but complimented the dish well. We wished there was more of it, but overall, this is a winner!

*NEW* Grilled Bushberry Spiced Shrimp Skewer with Sweet and Sour Vegetables and Coconut Chili Sauce – $7.00
This is a relatively basic and unremarkable dish. On the positive side, the shrimp is not fishy. It’s well-cooked. But other than the enjoyable sweet chili sauce, there’s not a lot going on here. The vegetables are bad — they’re kind of soggy and don’t have a good flavor. Five shrimp for $7 is a decent value, but this still gets a low rating.

Roasted Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Crushed Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips – $8.75
The meat was rare. It was soft, tender, and fell apart when we cut it. It had a great flavor with a good lamb note, although the mint pesto was strong (and delicious). The chips added a nice bit of salt and crunch to break up the texture. Overall, this was a really delicious dish, especially if you enjoy rare meat. If you don’t, this may be a dish to pass up. With the sauce, it was a little greasy, so be sure to grab some napkins. We won’t judge you if you lick your plate clean!

Lamington: Yellow Cake with Raspberry Filling with Chocolate and Coconut – $4.75
If you’re craving cake while visiting the festival, we highly recommend this one! The chocolate, which covers the outside, tastes like dark chocolate. Topping the chocolate is a crunchy coconut, which is definitely noticeable but not overpowering. The raspberry jam in the middle has a bit of a subtle taste but still adds some sweetness. The entire cake is moist and literally melts in your mouth. We loved this.

*NEW* Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Sweet Potato Mousse with Candied Pecans and Maple Caramel Sauce – $5.25
They freeze it in front of you, which is neat. It’s so weird, but so good, almost like a chunky pumpkin pie. It’s excellent. It might be the best new thing we had at the festival.
Rank out of 7: 7
Frozen Apple Pie: Apple Pie Filling, Apple Cinnamon Gelato, Cinnamon Apple Cider, topped with Streusel (nonalcoholic) – $6.75
This is one of our favorite non-alcoholic drinks at the festival. We did feel like there was a bit too much ice cream and not enough cider. The apple pie filling on top is great. It’s a tasty and refreshing slush. Our only gripe is that the cup feels a bit too small, considering all of the ingredients in this drink, and the price.
Rank out of 7: 5
Floats: Coca-Cola®, Barq’s® Crème Soda, or Fanta® Grape with choice of Soft-Serve (nonalcoholic) – $6.75
We chose the Grape Fanta option, and this has a strong grape flavor! It tastes like a melted grape snow cone with a little bit of ice cream. We didn’t like this and would rather just have a grape slushie. Plus, for the price, it’s a very small cup.
Rank out of 7: 3
Toasted Coconut Float: 3 Daughters Toasted Coconut Porter with Salted Caramel Soft-Serve – $13.25
This is a cool combination. By the time we drank it, the beer had settled on the bottom and the ice cream had floated to the top. But that made it more refreshing! As it melted and mixed together more, it became like an alcoholic milkshake, which was even better. The pairing of salted caramel and toasted coconut is great, with the salted caramel sweetening the beer a bit. We highly recommend this float.
Rank out of 7: 6
Berry-Vanilla Float: La Gioiosa Berry Fizz with Vanilla Soft-Serve – $13
This is good, and it also has an alcoholic milkshake quality to it. If you’re into sparkling wine, you’ll like this. The ice cream sweetens the whole dessert up, just like with the beer float. However, if you asked us to pick, we’d still go with the porter.

- CORKCICLE Stemless Flute – $24.00
Guava Cake with Whipped Cream and Coconut – $5.00
The guava flavor is a little bit too strong for our liking and a little bit too sweet, but we don’t completely dislike it. At least the cake is moist. It’s done really well, even if it’s not for everyone.
Rank out of 7: 4
*NEW* Berry Mimosa: La Gioiosa Berry Fizz and White Cranberry Juice – $7.00
The berry mimosa is the darker of the two beverages pictured above. It tastes like basic sparkling red wine. It’s refreshing and crisp. The crispness softens the red wine flavor a bit. Overall, we enjoyed it.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Fruited Sour Beer and Sparkling Wine Cocktail: Brewery Ommegang Dream Patch Fruited Sour with Cherry, Blueberry and Raspberry, and Sparkling Wine – $9.00
This is the lighter beverage. Dry by design, it’s just meh. There’s so much going on that it numbed our senses. There’s no aftertaste, which is good, but it’s hard to recommend this. We’d call this sparkling wine and heartburn since it gave us instant heartburn. That being said, there is an audience for this.
Rank out of 7: 3
Tropical Mimosa with Sparkling Wine and Minute Maid® Passion Fruit, Orange and Guava Juices – $7.00
As you can tell from the picture, this one is rather pulpy. While there are some good flavors, this tasted too much like a basic orange juice and champagne mimosa to be anything really special. We were expecting to get the flavors of POG, and were a bit disappointed. There are better options at this booth.
Rank out of 7: 4
Blood Orange Mimosa: Sparkling Wine and Blood Orange Juice – $7.00
Can you feel the pulp tonight… floating in your drink? There’s even more pulp than the tropical mimosa, but this one works ten times better. The blood orange flavor is prominent and not overbearing, just tart enough to smack your lips together. This is definitely the best option at the mimosa bar.

- Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine, St. Petersburg, FL – $10
- AULANI Sunrise: Vodka, DOLE® Pineapple Juice and Grenadine – $14
Slow-Roasted Pork Slider with Sweet-and-Sour DOLE® Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise – $6
The pork slider has become a Food & Wine staple, much like the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. Expect a small bun full of tender pulled pork topped with potent pineapple chutney and slathered in spicy mayonnaise. After a bite, most of the sandwich falls apart, so we recommend grabbing a fork to help pick up the remainder. It’s a really great sandwich that feels worth the money.
Rank out of 7: 6
This was terrible. The only thing we tasted was salt. The spam chunks were huge and gross. The Furikake flavor came through a bit, but not enough to save this. Don’t even think about getting this. It’s a must-skip.
Rank out of 7: 1
Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts – $5
This cheesecake is rather tame on the fruit flavor; the passion fruit on top is subtle enough to be noticed without being overbearing, making this cheesecake nice and balanced. The macadamia nuts paired with the cheesecake are excellent. It’s not the most exciting dessert at the festival, but it’s worth a second look, especially at the price tag.
Rank out of 7: 5
AULANI Sunrise: Vodka, DOLE® Pineapple Juice and Grenadine – $14
Want to get your drink on during the festival? This is the drink for you! While the price is a bit steep for a festival, it’s a full-size beverage (a full ounce of vodka) and comes in this cool souvenir glass! There are a few problems with this drink, though, as we found the vodka to be of bottom-shelf quality, and they tried to mask that taste with pineapple juice and grenadine. However, at the end of the day, it’s a full-size drink, and we can’t say no to that!

*NEW* Grilled Cider-Brined Pork Tenderloin with Fennel Apple Slaw and Apple Cider Gastrique – $6.75
This is phenomenal. The pork is incredibly tender and well-seasoned. The fennel gives a nice crunch with a subtle heat countered by the apple cider gastrique. It’s also a good portion for the price.
Rank out of 7: 7
*NEW* Grilled Bison with Butternut Squash Purée, Roasted Mushrooms and Huckleberry Gastrique – $8.75
The huckleberry doesn’t quite work. The bison is kind of bland, overpowered by the tart huckleberry. The elements are disjointed.

*NEW* Cast Iron-Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Root Vegetables, Dried Cranberries, Candied Pecans and Maple Bourbon Glaze – $5.00
There weren’t a lot of Brussels sprouts in our Brussels sprouts, but this is a good dish anyway. It has all the flavors of a Thanksgiving dinner that you love in a bowl. There’s sweetness, heartiness, sage and spices, a crunch from the nuts. It’s enjoyable and one of the better vegetable dishes.
Rank out of 7: 6
*NEW* Spiced Apple Old Fashioned Inspired Cocktail with Boyd & Blair Rum – $12.00

*NEW* Pear and Almond Frangipane Pâte Brisée – $5.25
This looks like an empanada. Frangipane should be almond-forward but the almond flavor is undetectable. This is okay but forgettable.

Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with Walnuts and Cream Cheese Icing – $4.75

*NEW* Autumn Chili with Bison, Lamb and Pork Belly, Root Vegetables, Jalapeño Cornbread, Smoked Cheddar and Crème Fraîche – $7.75
The cornbread is sweet and spicy. The meat is cooked perfectly, spiced well, and served in a large portion. This is excellent. However, we don’t want to eat chili in August. We’ll come back later in the season to enjoy this again.

*NEW* Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli with Sage-Brown Butter, Pecorino Cheese and Hazelnut Praline – $5.25

*NEW* Burrata with Seasonal Fall Fruit, Spiced Pecans, Apple Purée and Fig Vinaigrette – $5.50
We were divided on this, but those who liked it loved it. It appeals to a different audience than the first two dishes here, and a fall burrata is strange, but it works well. Those of us who didn’t like it were put off by the texture and the cheese.

*NEW* Red Wine-Braised Beef Short Rib with Goat Cheese Polenta, Puttanesca Sauce, Shaved Pecorino and Petit Herbs – $8.50
The short rib is a little dry but tender. That could vary depending on when you get the dish, though. We love all the accompaniments. We could just eat the polenta and puttanesca sauce and call it a day. For one festival dish, this is practically an entire meal.

*NEW* Caramel Apple Milk Shake: Artisanal Gelato, Pâte Brisée, Whipped Cream, Candy Apple Cake and Caramel Drizzle (nonalcoholic) – $10.99
The candy apple cake is a delicious red velvet cake pop. The consistency is like fudge. The shake’s consistency is more like marshmallow cream than milk, with an apple pie flavor. The pie crust on top (pâte brisée) is super salty. All that said, it’s good and super Instagrammable.

*NEW* Coconut Mocha Latte: A decadent blend of Espresso, Milk, Coconut Syrup and Dark Chocolate Sauce, garnished with Whipped Cream, Toasted Coconut Flakes and Dark Chocolate Drizzle (nonalcoholic) – $6.49 (Near Mission: Space)
This is pretty average. The coffee is not outstanding and the coconut is very strong on the backend. It’s a fairly refreshing drink, but basic.
Rank out of 7: 4
*NEW* Hazelnut Mocha Latte: A nutty blend of Espresso, Milk, Hazelnut Syrup and Dark Chocolate Sauce, garnished with Whipped Cream and Dark Chocolate Drizzle (nonalcoholic) – $6.49 (Near Canada Pavilion)
This is our favorite of the Joffrey’s drinks this year. It has a rich chocolate sauce flavor and reminds us of a mocktail version of Tipsy Ducks in Love from Joy of Tea in the China pavilion. We’d get this again.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* Coconut Banana Cream Pie Latte: A comforting blend of Espresso, Milk, Coconut Syrup and Banana Syrup, garnished with Whipped Cream and Toasted Coconut Flakes (nonalcoholic) – $6.49 (The American Adventure Pavilion)
The banana flavor is pretty muted here, but it’s definitely better than the PB&J (below) and the Coconut Mocha Latte. It’s not too sweet and has a great boost of caffeine for the halfway point around World Showcase.
Rank out of 7: 5
*NEW* PB&J Latte: A delicious blend of Espresso, Milk, Peanut Butter Syrup and Raspberry Syrup, garnished with Whipped Cream (nonalcoholic) – $6.49 (Near Disney Traders)
This is pretty basic. Again, it tastes like the syrup they put into it. An alcoholic version is available with Bailey’s. An idea would be to offer this with peanut butter whiskey like Skrewball and some Chambord.
