Dr. Mark Penning shared a sonogram revealing that Sohni, a Sumatran Tiger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, is pregnant. This isn’t the first time that Sohni is expecting. In 2019, she gave birth to two tiger cubs. One of those cubs, Jeda, was relocated to the San Antonio Zoo as part of a Species Survival Plan.

Sohni’s pregnancy is an important one, as Sumatran Tigers are a critically endangered species. Fewer than 600 of them remain in the wild.

Baby Tiger Cubs are Coming This August to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Guests can see Sohni and her mate Conrad while exploring the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Sohni’s baby is the latest addition to the ever-growing animal population at Walt Disney World. In June and July, four Hartmann’s mountain zebras and a baby eland antelope were born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
