Disney has announced that the room refurbishments that began at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter in May have been extended into early 2025.

Earlier this year, Disney began room refurbishments at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. The refurbishment was originally scheduled to end in November 2024. Now, Disney has announced that the refurbishment will extend into Spring 2025.

French Quarter Room Refurbishments

The above photo shows what the rooms at the resort looked like before the refurbishments began. Most of the furniture was brown wood, including the dresser, headboards, and bedframe. The walls were white and turquoise.

The new rooms are more vibrant, and feature details honoring New Orleans, “The Princess and the Frog,” and Mardi Gras. The standard brown furniture has been replaced, and the main dresser is now blue with a white marble top.

The headboards are also blue, and the wall above each features a colorful design that stands out against the rest of the plain white walls. The new rooms are also more modern with “Hey Disney” and multiple USB and USB-C outlets throughout the space.

Guests staying at French Quarter will also be able to enjoy the Doubloon Lagoon pool, the Aquatic Play Area, and Mardi Grogs pool bar which were all refurbished earlier this year.
