Disney Treasure Cruise Ship Marks Final Construction Milestone with Delivery Ceremony

The Disney Treasure is marking its final construction milestone today with its delivery ceremony in the Netherlands.

Four people stand on a ship deck, with two wearing mascot costumes, and two in formal attire. A red and black funnel with Disney character accents is in the background.

The delivery ceremony was held in Eemshaven, Netherlands. In attendance were team members, shipyard workers, and the Meyer Werft team.

Traditionally, a delivery ceremony marks the transfer of ownership between a shipyard partner and the ship owner — in this case, Meyer Werft and Disney Cruise Line, respectfully.

With this milestone, the countdown really begins toward the Disney Treasure’s maiden voyage on December 21, 2024. The ship left to complete its sea trials back in September.
