- Tonight, October 7, 2024, Lighting McQueen’s Racing Academy held its final performance. The attraction has permanently closed to make way for a new Disney Villains show, which is set to debut next year.

- With Hurricane Milton now a Category 5 storm and projected to hit the Walt Disney World Resort area this Thursday, Disney has announced numerous closures to hotels across Walt Disney World property.
- Construction began at the Reflections Lodge site after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) permitted Disney to construct a 10-story hotel there.

- New Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa merchandise is now available at Curiouser Clothiers at the resort.
