New Darkwing Duck Shirt Arrives at Walt Disney World

Go back to the ’90s with a new long-sleeved Darkwing Duck shirt available at Walt Disney World.

The shirt is yellow with the daring duck of mystery pictured on the torso waving his cape. On the chest is supervillain Megavolt. Around the bottom of the shirt is “Walt Disney World” in teal lettering.

The Darkwing Duck wordmark is in purple and yellow on the left sleeve. The Thunderquack, Darkwing’s duck-shaped plane, is pictured on the right sleeve.

We found the shirt at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom.

The “Darkwing Duck” animated series originally ran from 1991 to 1992 as part of “The Disney Afternoon.” In the years after, the characters lived on in comics and cameos on other Disney animated shows. Darkwing Duck had a recurring role in the rebooted “DuckTales.” A Disney+ reboot is in development although there has been little news of the show since 2020. Earlier this year, “Darkwing Duck” creator Tad Stones said the reboot is still in the works (via Reddit).

Disney has embraced nostalgia for “The Disney Afternoon” with characters like Darkwing Duck featured on merchandise and appearing at Disney Channel Nite in Disneyland. Launchpad McQuack has appeared at Disney’s Animal Kingdom since 2018 for Donald’s Dino-Bash!
