Nearly four months later, the Ecto-1 from “Ghostbusters” has been added to the Universal Mega Movie Parade at Universal Studios Florida.
The Ecto-1 appears before the main Ghostbusters float in the parade. The car is covered in mischievous Mini-Pufts, which are also present in the “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights in both Orlando and Hollywood.
This version of the iconic vehicle features the gunner seat introduced in the re-quel film, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” In the parade, the character Phoebe from sits in the seat and waves to guests. She is played by Mckenna Grace in the films.
Mini-Pufts continue their mayhem onto the roof and back of the car. Some of the static figures rotate in place, but most are stationary. They are a bit larger than their on-screen counterparts.
Watch our video of the parade with the Ghostbusters vehicle added:
Universal Mega Movie Parade debuted in technical rehearsal on July 3, 2024. Its final performance of the season is scheduled for Thursday, November 14. The Ecto-1 officially made its debut on Wednesday, October 30.
In addition to the “Ghostbusters” unit, the parade also features other films, including “Back to the Future,” “Jaws,” “E.T.,” “Jurassic World,” Illumination’s “Minions” and “Sing,” and DreamWorks Animations “Kung Fu Panda” and “Trolls.”
The parade first debuted alongside the 2024 Summer Tribute Store, which is still open to guests at the time of publication. There are also special bubble wands available for purchase that can interact with the show.
Another new float was added back in September — a raptor paddock for the “Jurassic World” unit. The float is recycled from Universal Studios Japan’s Spectacle Night Parade.

We are obsessed with Disney food here at Disney Food Blog. We love it so much it is literally the name of our blog. So, when we see that new menu items have arrived at a Disney World restaurant, you know we HAVE to stop by and check them out!
This time we are at Pizzafari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to try out not one, but TWO new items that just debuted on the menu. We have been a bit disappointed in some new arrivals recently, but we have also found some new favorites, so we are here to give these new items a chance!
Pizzafari is located in the Discovery Island area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The quick service restaurant offers a menu of Italian-American dishes for both lunch and dinner. This restaurant has a casual themed environment, and it does not lack in the color department. From the moment you walk inside you will be amazed by the colorful murals on the walls!
We are stopping by to try out TWO new menu items: Chicken Parmesan with Marinara Pasta and Creamy Pesto Chicken Pesto. We weren’t off to a good start based on looks, but as they always say, you can’t judge a book by its cover. The meals look like something you might get in a school cafeteria, but the true test will be how they taste!
First off, we are starting with the Chicken Parmesan with Marinara Pasta for $13.29. This dish is served with a slice of garlic bread.
Like we said, first impressions aren’t exactly making our mouth water. We are getting microwavable meal vibes with this one. Unfortunately, it tasted just as bad as it looked. Everything is the dish was dull, and it severely lacked in the flavor department.
There wasn’t anything in this dish that had good flavor. The breading on the chicken was not good, and the cheese and sauce had a terrible aftertaste. The garlic bread is the same Texas Toast you can get at the grocery store. While tasty bread, we were hoping for so much more for $13.29. We weren’t able to eat much of this meal, but here’s to hoping that the second dish is a bit better.
Next up we tried the Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta which also costs $13.29. It is also served with the same grocery store garlic bread.
This one doesn’t look very appetizing either, but it is time to dive in regardless! We are happy to report that we enjoyed this dish much better than the Chicken Parmesan one. The chicken tasted the complete opposite of the Chicken Parmesan. It was fresh and it had a light chicken taste.
We also liked the sauce that came with it. A lot of it was hidden on the bottom, but we enjoyed the creaminess. The sauce is more comparable to an alfredo sauce. We didn’t taste any pesto in it, but if you are looking for a creamy alfredo sauce this would be a good choice. This dish would be great for picky eaters as it is a plain, but comforting flavor. If you are wanting a more adventurous or flavorful dish, you would not like this very much.
Overall, the Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta was our favorite of the two, but it won’t be the most memorable dish you can find at Disney World. We were not fans of the Chicken Parmesan with Marinara Pasta and would recommend you choose something else on the menu. While these new menu items may not have received raving reviews, we are here to tell you that there is SO much good food at Disney World. If you are trying to decide where to eat on your next Disney World vacation, make sure you check out our video that covers the 30 ESSENTIAL Disney World restaurants:
We have eaten everywhere at Disney World, and we aren’t stopping there. We are constantly trying new foods and revisiting dining locations, so stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney World food news!

French guidemaps are available at map stands in Walt Disney World theme parks again.
French, Japanese, and German guidemaps were removed from stands this past June. They were still available by request from Guest Relations locations. According to Cast Members, this change was temporary to track the amount of maps they needed in these languages.
It seems Disney has figured out just how many French maps they need to print, as they are now back on map stands at the front of each theme park.
The French language maps have purple-pink borders. Japanese and German maps have still not returned to map stands.
In addition to the front entrance stands and Guest Relations, guests can also pick up maps at some merchandise locations throughout teach park.
English maps (light blue), Portuguese maps (green), Spanish maps (yellow), and maps for guests with disabilities (dark blue) are also available.
Are you glad to see the French maps back in the stands at the front of the Walt Disney World parks? Do you hope the Japanese and German maps will also return?Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Deck the boulevard!
While there are still (*checks watch*) a few hours left of Halloween, the almost unbelievable truth is that spooky season 2024 is over, and the holidays are upon us! While we’re still just over a week away from the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season, certain areas of Disney World are already being decked out in their Christmas best, including one of the resort’s theme parks!
During our visit (on Halloween, ironically), we noticed the first signs of holiday decorations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The red and white stars were placed on lampposts up and down the park’s Sunset Boulevard (leading to the Tower of Terror).
While the rest of the park’s decorations aren’t up yet…
…the stars are a sign that Hollywood Studios will once again be decked out in the mid-century decorations we adore, likely in time for the start of Jollywood Nights on November 9th. Here’s a preview of what we’re expecting this year.
Speaking of Jollywood Nights, the event is returning to Hollywood Studios for a second year in a row, this time with a slew of new additions, including Glisten!, a special show on Hollywood Boulevard where international champion skaters will perform routines set to a holiday soundtrack, a rockin’ dance party at Pixar Place, a behind the scenes look at The Muppet Christmas Carol, new Character experiences, an exclusive Wondermade sweet treat, special event merchandise, and a Mandalorian character sighting in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Hollywood Studios is already getting decked out in its Christmas best as Disney World continues to move into the holiday season. Stay tuned to DFB for further seasonal coverage.

The post ⭐NEWS: Something NEW Arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the Holidays!⭐ first appeared on the disney food blog.
With the holidays just around the corner, I’ve been counting down the days that I can jump into the winter festivities! Luckily with Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopening November 4, there are going to be even more ways to have frosted fun under the Florida sun. Few places can bring to life a melting ski resort with immersive theming other than Walt Disney World, and the water park brings together family-friendly experiences and thrilling water attractions.
It’s “snow-joke’’ that there is a lot to do at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, but here are seven ways I can’t wait to warm up my winter.
You might think The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the only way to drop several stories at Walt Disney World, but Summit Plummet is one of the world’s tallest and fastest free-fall waterslides that sends riders 12 stories almost straight down, rocketing through a darkened tunnel and into a massive spray of whitewater.
Looking for fun with the little tikes? For the first time in what feels like forever, the beloved characters from “Frozen’’ are inviting kids under four feet tall to step into their own “Frozen’’ adventure while enjoying water fun at Tike’s Peak. Roam across wading pools featuring whimsical depictions of Olaf and his Snowgie pals, engage in playful battles with pop-up water jets at Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress, and go down slides designed just for them.
Enjoy the perfect thrill for everyone on Teamboat Springs. This unpredictable family raft ride offers a wild journey through twists and turns, navigating one of the longest waterslides in the world. It’s a must-ride for anyone seeking unforgettable memories with family and friends.
For those looking to unwind, Cross Country Creek offers a peaceful float along the 3,000-foot lazy river, winding through the park’s scenic landscapes.
Indulge your taste buds with brand-new menu items that bring both savory and sweet flavors. At Warming Hut, guests will find lunch and dinner options, including the new barbecue pork sandwich with bacon and fried onion straws on a brioche bun. Sweet treats throughout the day include comfort flavors at Icee Expeditions with the new apple pie churro and praline sundae. For those already in the holiday spirit, the premium peppermint shake at Lotta Watta features a vanilla and chocolate milkshake with peppermint beverage syrup whipped cream, a brownie, and a cherry on top.
Experience relaxation in the heated one-acre wave pool, Melt-Away Bay. Float on inner tubes or splash around as gentle waves lap the shore. Mount Gushmore’s waterfalls create short, relaxing swells—ideal for lounging or swimming out to rocky outcrops to enjoy a refreshing waterfall.
Come back to the water parks again and again through May 23, 2025 with the Disney Water Parks Seasonal Pass. This limited-time special offer is back at only $79 plus tax, and allows you to discover even more ways to combine snow and sun through winter and into next year!
One of my favorite parts about living in Florida is that fun in the sun is possible throughout the year, and this may be one of my favorite ways to experience a “snowy” winter day with my friends and family! Plus, 2025 travelers staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can start their stay with a Water Park day with admission included on their check-in day, making it easier than ever to visit one of the incredible Disney Water Parks. Hope to catch you out there on the slopes!
