Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Treasure has set off on its transatlantic journey to its home port in Florida.
Disney Treasure Crossing the Atlantic
After construction of the Disney Treasure was completed and it left the Meyer Werft shipyard, the ship went through trials in the North Sea. Disney then officially took ownership of the Treasure during a delivery ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands.
On October 29, the Disney Treasure embarked from Eemshaven and is now on its way to Port Canaveral, Florida. The transatlantic journey is over 4,500 miles and will take two weeks to complete. Its first port of call will be Funchal, Portugal, where it will make a brief stop before heading back to sea. During the crossing, final preparations will be made.
The Treasure will feature the debut of “Tale of Moana,” a new Broadway-style stage show. One of its restaurants will be the new Plaza de Coco featuring two dinner shows. It will also feature the first Haunted Mansion Parlor.

A former Walt Disney World Cast Member is being sued for changing menu information after being fired. Some of his alterations included dangerously falsifying allergen information, according to local news station WFTV.
The filing, which can be found in whole on Scribd, alleges that Michael Scheuer was fired in June 2024 but continued to have access to the menu update system for three months after on personal devices. The lawsuit alleges that he hacked the system in retaliation for his firing.
The changes weren’t noticed until he changed the font to Wingdings, a style that uses symbols instead of letters. This was finally enough to draw attention, though alleged other changes had included profanity.
The bigger issue was the changes to allergen warnings.
“Namely, the threat actor manipulated the allergen information on menus by adding information to some allergen notifications that indicated certain menu items were safe for individuals with peanut allergies, when in fact they could be deadly to those with peanut allergies,” reads the document.
Scheuer’s attorney told NBC News that “The allegations acknowledge that no one was injured or harmed. I look forward to vigorously presenting my client’s side of the story,” and that Scheuer “has a disability that he believes impacted his termination from Disney.”
The affidavit details an account from an FBI agent investigating the case. The FBI raided Scheuer’s residence and seized electronics containing evidence of the misconduct.
The lawsuit alleges that Scheuer’s actions caused damages upward of $5,000.

More Christmas decor has arrived at Universal Islands of Adventure. There are now garlands, trees, wreaths, and more throughout Port of Entry, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, The Lost Continent, and Seuss Landing.
Islands of Adventure Christmas Decorations
Port of Entry
Immediately upon entering the park, guests will be greeted by garland hanging over “The Adventure Begins.” The garland is adorned with silver stars and small ornaments.
More garland is on the Expedition Photography facade. A matching wreath hangs above the door. In our last decorations update, we saw Christmas trees inside the store.
On the other side of the entrance courtyard, garland lines the roof and awnings of Islands of Adventure Trading Company. A wreath with a large star in the center is on the clock tower. Garland hangs from the railings of the balcony on the second floor.
The Port of Entry lampposts are wrapped with garlands full of silver ornaments.
Near the park exit, more garlands are on the balconies above the restrooms. They’re full of red and gold ornaments. Large snowflakes hang from the garland.
The facade next door has a string of garlands with colorful ornaments across its balcony railings.
There are more decorations inside Croissant Moon Bakery. Green wreaths are full of silver, gold, and transparent ornaments.
There are matching garland decorations hanging from wall sconces.
Confisco Grille has also been decorated for the holidays. Three skinny Christmas trees are in the foyer, two framing the door into the dining room.
The trees feature bronze and brown ornaments. A matching strip of garland hangs over the window.
Another piece of garland is on the railing of a staircase.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade
In the back of the park, Honeydukes and Owl Post are prepared for winter with unique themed decor. In the “Harry Potter” sweets shop are decorations made of straight tree needles. These hang from wall sconces and a wreath is on the door.
They are decorated with pink bows, sprigs of colorful candy-like berries, and pinecones.
Similar decorations are on the shop’s chandeliers.
Garland winds around the pink spiral staircase, which is stacked with candies.
The decorations continue throughout the store, including in the confectionary room.
Owl Post features decorations with similarly straight needles. They feature owl feathers as accents, in addition to pinecones and red leaves. In the front room of Owl Post, garlands line the cash wrap and the nooks of owls on the walls.
Decorative elements are attached to the ceiling lights and wall sconces.
In the back room, more garland is on the second floor railing.
The Lost Continent
Moving on to Mythos Restaurant in The Lost Continent, two trees are in the venue’s lobby. One tree is tall, while the other is short, but both are red with silver and green ornaments. They are wrapped in strings of gold leaves.
Further inside, the railings of the ramp are decorated with red garlands featuring similar ornaments.
Pale green decorations are in Treasures of Poseidon. These two skinny trees feature gold, green, and white ornaments.
Decorative elements hang from the store’s columns.
Seuss Landing
The inside of most Seuss Landing shops are now decorated. There are trees and garlands throughout Gertrude McFuzz Fine Feathered Finery and Mulberry Street Store. The trees are a Grinch green with green, red, and yellow-gold ornaments. One of these trees was also decorated with some of the plush characters for sale.
Small bare trees are on shelves above merchandise displays.
A “Merry Christmas” flat is on a pair of candy cane-striped poles above one display. The store also features a statue of the Grinch in his Santa gear hauling a bag full of Grinch plush. Flat gift decorations are between the shelves.
The trees have red, white, and green sparkly spiral toppers instead of stars.
There is a yellow star atop a Christmas tree-inspired shelving unit, though.
Snookers & Snookers Sweet Candy Cookers has a pair of trees in its entryway. They’re purple with red and orange ornaments.
The land’s bookshop, All the Books You Can Read has more colorful trees. Red trees with pink and purple opaque ornaments as well as shiny bubble-like ornaments frame some of the merchandise displays.
The trees sit in white boxes.
Three small red trees are on a set of display steps.
Of course, the Cat in the Hat has his own decorating methods, which are on display in Cats, Hats, and Things. The statue of the cat in the center of the store is carrying two armfuls of silver garland with red ornaments.
There are silver trees with red ornaments next to the windows.
The space above this wall of mugs features silver tinsel and red ornaments.
The Thing 1 and Thing 2 statues are also draped with garlands.
Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-Pendous is full of trees and garlands.
Green garlands with colorful ornaments line the front and top of the circus train booths around the edge of the restaurant.
Garland is above the front counter and wrapped around columns.
The trees vary in color from pink to silver to purple.
Garlands and wreaths are incorporated into the statue displays of circus acts.
The characters on the walls wear garland and tinsel accessories.
Even this clown is rocking a gold tinsel scarf.
There’s a wreath in the window of the Sneelock’s Store facade.
