PHOTO REPORT: EPCOT & Hollywood Studios 10/1/2024 (Pin Tuesday, Holiday Shirts, and Halloween Treats)

Happy Pin Tuesday! Today, I explored the front of EPCOT before running to Hollywood Studios for some Halloween treats, and finally ended my day at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Pin Tuesday

Happy Pin Tuesday! Walt Disney World releases new and exclusive pins every Tuesday. This week, we got two open-edition pins and two exclusive pins. I found these pins at Pin Traders in EPCOT.

Disney Holiday Shirts!

In Creations Shop in EPCOT, Disney had a bunch of new shirts displayed. These are just a few of my favorites. I was surprised to see so many holiday shirts. There was a Minnie and matching Mickey holiday shirt, a “Nightmare Before Christmas” holiday shirt, and a basic “Most Magical Holiday on Earth” shirt.

There were also some regular Disney and Walt Disney World Shirts, including an EPCOT shirt that’s exclusive to the park as of now. I also loved the Lizzie McGuire shirt.

All of the shirts are adult-sized and available for $29.99 for one or $24.99 for two.

The Seas Friends

I can’t go to EPCOT without stopping into The Seas to see Nemo’s friends. I saw the smallest, cutest little shrimp upstairs in the nursery. I also had to say good morning to the cuttlefish and Inigo, the newest manatee.

The Land

A spacious indoor food court with colorful hanging decorations and hot air balloon models suspended from the ceiling. Large windows let in natural light, and there are multiple levels with dining areas.

I also poked my head in The Land to refill my water bottle before walking over to the BoardWalk to see how the Cake Bake Shop was doing. The Land is such a cool space that I feel Disney underutilizes. This would be a great spot for the festivals, but no one asked for my opinion. Did you know that the four balloons in the center used to move? Before my time, but that’s what I am told.

Cake Bake Shop Construction

The Cake Bake Shop is almost there. Today, I noticed a few workers doing some touch-up paint on the front sign far right sign. I’m guessing the left side will be done next. There is also a pair of awnings surrounding the entrance to the restaurant on the far left. These small details certainly make me anticipate an opening soon.

Flying to Hollywood Studios

I took the Skyliner over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios when I heard that they not only have new Halloween treats, but also the Halloween Alien Sipper. I’ll be honest, I don’t like heights, but it is an efficient way of getting to Hollywood Studios as long as there isn’t any lightning.

At the park, I immediately B-lined for the food. The Caramel Apple Milkshake is at Dockside Diner near Echo Lake, and the Ghost Cream Puff and Alien Sipper are in ABC Commissary.

I’ll say this — if you like synthetic green apple tart flavor, you should give these treats a shot. Otherwise, find yourself something more interesting.

Bus Ride to Grand Floridian

After I had digested these sweet treats, I waddled my way out to the bus stop for the Grand Floridian. Luckily, I had a bus all to myself. It was nice to have a moment of peace in the chaos that can be the Disney parks. There are some days where this means more than ice water in the middle of summer day.

Gasparilla Island Grill

Gasparilla Island Grill in the Grand Floridian Resort has added a build-your-own salad bar for their guests. It is nice that there is a healthy option that you can fit to your taste within walking distance from the Magic Kingdom. I’m sure I will soon take advantage of this and will update you on how it goes.
