Spider-Man 4 Release Date
Those who have been waiting patiently for confirmed news regarding the next installment in the Tom Holland “Spider-Man” series don’t have to wait any longer. This week, it was confirmed that Holland would be swinging back into theaters on July 24, 2026 in the upcoming film which is set to start production in mid-2025.
Though the film doesn’t have a name yet, it does have a director. In September, Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” was reportedly attached to the film. He has now been confirmed as the director of the project. He was previously attached to “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” but exited the film in 2023.
Cretton takes over for Jon Watts who directed the first three films in the series. The third installment in the franchise, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” grossed $1.95 billion at the international box office, making it the seventh-highest-grossing film of all time.
“Spider-Man 4” will release shortly after “Avengers: Doomsday” which is slated to come out on May 1, 2026. This same strategy was used with the release of “Spider-Man: Far From Home” in 2019. The second film in the series grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office after being released two months after “Avengers: Endgame.”
