Universal has added the final touches, including Earl the Squirrel, to the Universal Studios Florida Christmas tree.
Universal Studios Florida Christmas Tree
The tree went up last week but with only ornaments and its star topper. It’s now wrapped in three strips of red tinsel. Red stars with gold borders hang from the tinsel.
Earl the Squirrel
Earl has made his home next to the lowest of these tinsel garlands, just above eye level. The legend of Earl the Squirrel involves a real squirrel living inside the Universal Studios Florida Christmas tree, only discovered after biting through a string of Christmas lights. To honor the legendary squirrel, Team Members place a squirrel plush in the tree every year, and Earl has become the resort’s holiday mascot.
Guests can usually meet Earl near the tree, which is located in the park’s New York section, outside Revenge of the Mummy. Earl the Squirrel merchandise and UOAP-exclusive Earl merch are available at Universal Orlando Resort for the 2024 holiday season. The 2024 Holiday Tribute Store has also begun its UOAP previews for the season.
