We have a first look at the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party map, wristbands, and complimentary ornaments.
Arrival at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Guests with valid tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m., with the party officially kicking off at 7:00 p.m. through midnight. Each guest must scan in either at the front turnstiles or one of the dedicated check-in locations around the park. Once a Cast Member has scanned the ticket, each guest receives a wristband.
At 6:00 p.m., when the park closes to day guests, Cast Members will check each guest to ensure they have a valid wristband in order to stay in the park. This year’s wristbands are fabric ribbons again. They feature the event logo and a slider to adjust the band’s fit. We got gold wristbands on the first night. Each event uses a different random wristband color to prevent people sneaking into the party with old bands.
Party Map
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party maps can be found at stands near the Magic Kingdom entrance. Maps are usually also available throughout the park at merchandise and guest services locations.
The front of the map for 2024 features the toy soldiers of “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,” a recurring icon of the parties. Behind them is a snow-covered Main Street, U.S.A. with Cinderella Castle set against a dark blue sky of stars and fireworks. “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024” is at the top.
Inside is a map of the Magic Kingdom with a list of everything available during the party. Not all attractions are open, but you can catch them between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. while the park is still operating under normal conditions.
Treat locations are marked with red candy cane icons. These spots are where guests can find unlimited complimentary cookies and beverages. Stay tuned for a full guide to this year’s treats. PhotoPass locations are marked with a camera. Step-in photo frames are marked with a frame around a silhouette. A Santa hat icon in Storybook Circus marks the location of the new Santa’s Christmas Carnival.
Some attractions have special holiday overlays, including Jingle Cruise, Space Mountain Holiday Run, Mad Tea Party, Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. These are indicated on the map with “Holiday Twist!”
“Event Merchandise!” is next to stores offering Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party-exclusive items. Special character meet and greets are listed under “Character Greetings” in each land.
There’s also special entertainment. Showtimes are listed on the map and in the My Disney Experience app.
Other sides of the map showcase select food, beverages, merchandise, and more that are available for purchase during Christmas parties.
Entering Magic Kingdom
If you have a daytime ticket and enter the park before 4:00 p.m., you will enter as normal through Main Street, U.S.A. and will need to return to the front of the park to collect your complimentary ornament later. The ornament location is marked with a house icon on the map. They will be available through 8:00 p.m.
If you enter after 4:00 p.m. with a wristband, you will be directed down the Main Street bypass to the right. It takes you backstage where Cast Members will distribute maps and ornaments.
The bypass is decorated for the season. Billboards advertise holiday experiences like Santa’s Christmas Carnival and the Tomorrowland Speedway overlay.
There is also a DJ and gingerbread men. Guests exit the bypass near Tomorrowland.
Complimentary Ornament
This year’s complimentary ornament is a gingerbread house featuring candy canes, icing, and a Mickey-shaped peppermint above the door. A red Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party plaque is in the lower right. A silver “2024” charm hangs from the ring on top with a red ribbon. The back is plain silver. Cast Members will give out one ornament per guest as a free keepsake commemorating the event.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event on select nights between November 8 and December 20, 2024. Stay tuned for our full guide to this year’s party.
