‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Print
The custom illustration is by artist and former Imagineer Nikkolas Smith. The Annual Passholder Buzz in My Disney Experience has an interview with Smith about “Mufasa: The Lion King.” The illustration, available as a 5-inch by 7-inch postcard print, depicts young Mufasa with water around him and his rippled reflection showing his older self.
Passholders can pick up the postcard December 8-18, 2024 at Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures in Disney’s Animal Kingdom during normal operating hours. There is a limit of one postcard per Passholder. The Passholder must be present and show their Annual Pass via card, MagicBand, MagicMobile pass, or My Disney Experience app, plus a government-issued photo ID. Postcards are available while supplies last.
“Mufasa: The Liong King” is a prequel to the “live-action” 2019 remake of “The Lion King.” It will be in theaters on December 20, 2024. It’s directed by Barry Jenkins from a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson and stars Aaron Pierre as Mufasa and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka (Scar), as well as several actors reprising their roles from “The Lion King.” Watch the final trailer below.
