Visit Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter this holiday season for Christmas decorations infused with the spirit of Mardi Gras.
Port Orleans – French Quarter Christmas Decorations
The poles in the lobby are wrapped with garlands. Christmas trees are against the wall of windows. And wreaths hang above the doorways leading to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory and the check-in area.
The Christmas trees sit on boxes covered in purple fabric. They’re decorated with golden sheer ribbons, pink flowers, beads, and colorful lights. They’re topped with Mardi Gras masks and top hats adorned with fleurs-de-lis.
The greenhouse frame over Scat Cat’s seating is lined with garland featuring purple bows, golden stars, and brightly-colored ornaments.
The wreaths hanging above each doorway are half-covered in decorations, while the other half is mostly bare except for lights and a few baubles. They have large sparkling purple and green ribbons with fleurs-de-lis decorations. Masks are incorporated into the decorations.
Garlands hang between the wide white columns of the check-in area. These feature masks and dangling beads where they touch the ceiling. Fringe and leaves also hang from the garlands.
On the walls are wreaths and other decorations. They also feature Mardi Gras masks, beads, and colorful lights and ornaments.
Decorations continue outside. Every other lamppost lining the path to the pool is wrapped in garland. A wreath also hangs from one lamppost.
There are garlands across the balconies above Sassagoulla Floatworks and Jackson Square Gifts & Desires.
Wreaths frame the sign for each venue.
Inside the gift shop are more decorations. A small tree sits on a display of “The Princess and the Frog” merchandise. There are garlands above other merchandise displays.
These feature more flowers and other natural elements, as well as jester masks.
