PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge on the Disney Treasure

A new venue on the Disney Treasure cruise ship is the Jungle Cruise-inspired Skipper Society Lounge. The lounge is on deck 3, forward of the Grand Hall, in the same space as The Bayou aboard the Disney Wish.

Skipper Society Lounge Interior

The Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge, located within Disney Treasure, is a tropical-themed indoor lounge featuring wooden furniture and leafy decorations. With a stage at the center, you can capture the lively atmosphere in photos or video as groups of people gather in the background.

The space resembles a bar constructed in the middle of the jungle. The carpet features large brown, white, orange, and green nature designs. Leaves and flowers hang into the lounge from the ceiling, between white canopies.

People are gathered in a dimly lit room with tropical decor, reminiscent of a Jungle Cruise. The space features lush plants and wooden furniture, while two large screens display scenic images on the walls, creating a vibe akin to Disney Treasure's Skipper Society Lounge.

It has round brown tables with brown leather stools, gray chairs, and built-in sofas. Vintage-style lanterns hang from the ceiling and sit on the tables. The space is open on both sides, with the Haunted Mansion Parlor to the port side.

Step into the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge, where a cozy seating area with leaf-patterned fabric and brown leather couches, a round green table lamp, and woven stools create an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a Disney Treasure adventure.

The sofas have brown leather seats. The arms and backs feature a print of plants and animals.

A busy bar with green marble countertops, reminiscent of the Jungle Cruise, hosts several patrons under warm hanging lights. The walls display menus and decor, capturing the adventurous spirit of the Skipper Society Lounge.

The bar is housed in a raised space inspired by a Jungle Cruise boat named the EMS Empress. The bar stools have brown leather seats and woven backs. The countertop is green marble.

The Skipper Society Lounge invites you into a world of adventure with its wooden carved wall featuring intricate jungle-themed designs, reminiscent of the Jungle Cruise. A beautifully decorated canopy and expertly placed spotlights enhance the ambiance, creating a treasure trove of visual delight.

Across from the bar is a small stage for performances. The walls around it are green with wood accents. The stage’s overhang resembles the canopy of a Jungle Cruise boat.

A wooden wall carving, reminiscent of the Jungle Cruise, showcases various animals beneath a green curtain. The scene is beautifully illuminated by several hanging lights, much like the ambiance found in the Skipper Society Lounge on Disney Treasure.

The proscenium is carved with various animals including a hippo, a gorilla with a top hat, a giraffe, and monkeys. The inner edge of the proscenium has a curving design similar to that of the canopy’s edge.

The curtain is emerald green. The stage platform is dark gray. A string of vintage-style work lights is mounted on the front of the proscenium. Regular stage lights also shine down from the ceiling.

In the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge, a cozy seating area features four cushioned chairs around a small table, all positioned to enjoy the "Skipper Society" screen. The surroundings boast intricate wall designs and a nod to Disney Treasure with a hint of adventure from Treasure Untold.

There are TVs mounted on the walls on either side of the stage. They display a 3D rendering of the artwork below.

Framed decorative map labeled "Skipper Society Lounge," featuring a detailed illustration of a tropical island with various attractions and foliage, reminiscent of a Jungle Cruise tour on the Disney Treasure.

This art piece is in a golden bamboo-style frame. It shows the Jungle Cruise rivers, with other references to the Disney Treasure around the waters. The Jungle Cruise’s entrance building from Disneyland is in the center, with a boat docked in front of it. The Temple of the Forbidden Eye from Indiana Jones Adventure is in the lower left corner.

To the right is “The Aristocats”-inspired Scat Cat Lounge. Te Fiti is in the waters nearby, with Moana’s outrigger in front of her in “Hei Hei Bay,” representing Hei Hie Cafe and “Disney Tale of Moana.” Next to Te Fiti is Plum Blossom Point for the “Mulan”-inspired Jade Cricket Cafe. On the nearby shores is The Haunted Mansion (the Disneyland version) for the Haunted Mansion Parlor. The water in front of it is labeled Spirit Strait. A pirate ship is in “Buccaneer Bay.”

“Marigold Falls” resembles the marigold bridge to the Land of the Dead from “Coco,” representing Plaza de Coco, a dinner show on the Treasure. Beyond Marigold Falls is Submarine Lagoon with the Nautilus in the waters, in honor of the “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”-inspired Periscope Pub. In the top left corner is the “New World,” with the Agrabah palace from “Aladdin” representing the ship’s Grand Hall.

The bulletin board, enclosed in a glass case, features various papers like a "Missing Playwright" notice alongside a Jungle Crews News header. Nearby, informational sheets about the Disney Treasure and an invitation to the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge await eager eyes.

A shadow box case features a “Missing” poster for a cat playwright. A flyer of Skipper names is labeled “Jungle Crews News.” There’s a note for Skipper Gerry to “Please pick up the banana phone.” There is a ring of keys and a flyer for the Vaudeville Frolic.

In the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge aboard the Disney Treasure, a dimly lit room features a round booth, nostalgic photographs, and a lifebuoy beneath a colorful bird-themed chandelier. The dark green walls are adorned with nautical decor, evoking the spirit of an adventurous tour.

A round booth in the corner next to the bar has even more framed memorabilia. The light fixture hanging over the table features five green and blue macaws made of stained glass.

A green wall with framed photos, letters, and a butterfly display, softly lit from below, evokes a sense of adventure akin to the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge on a Disney Treasure tour.

On the walls of this booth are pinned butterflies, black-and-white photos of skippers and the Jungle Cruise, a series of patches, and a bulletin board featuring a zoo flyer, postcard, and telegram. The postcard is addressed Albert Falls. Many of the props feature the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. logo.

There’s a map of the Jungle Cruise path through the Nile with hand-written notes pointing to camp and headhunters. A newspaper features various punny headlines and articles, including:

  • Grab a Tiger by the Tail at Bengal Barbecue!
  • Jungle Navigation Company Loses Two Boats
  • Is Hamlet Much Ado About Nothing?
  • Scientists Cry Fowl
  • Fun With Puns!

The newspaper is “The Daily Gnus.”

A wall display in the Jungle Cruise Skipper Society Lounge features a life preserver labeled "EMS Empress 718," framed butterflies, vintage photos, a bag, a comical sign, and several telegrams with illuminated accents—a perfect stop on your Disney Treasure tour.

A red and white life preserver for the EMS Empress hangs over the booth. THere are more telegrams clipped to the wall and a brown leather bag.
