EPCOT, like the other Disney World parks, is always changing.
Year by year, month by month, and sometimes even week by week! However, there’s one big offering that makes EPCOT stand out from a food standpoint than the other parks, and that’s the four festivals the park has throughout the year. The current festival, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival, is coming to an end tomorrow, and the park will almost immediately be very different.
For one, the decorations and signs we’ve gotten used to seeing all over the park will disappear. Many of them will be overnight, but some others may take closer to 24 hours to go away until next year.
Of course, from a food standpoint, all the festival booths around the park will be closed and no longer offering their exclusive eats. This also means that the festival offerings available at quick service locations around the park, such as Connections Eatery and Cafe, Refreshment Outpost, and others, will also be gone.
But one of the changes you may not be expecting, and it’ll be a little hard to tell since we’re going into Thanksgiving week when crowds are often higher, but EPCOT may be slightly less crowded than normal with the absence of a festival. Many frequent Disney World goers choose to visit the park when festivals are happening and almost ONLY when festivals are happening, so in this week where one is absent, they may be choosing to spend their time in other places.
Yes, you heard that right, we’re only going a week without a festival, because EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays begins on November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving! So we’ll be watching for those menus to pop up on the recently closed booths, and you know we’ll be sharing all those details with you the moment we get them!
