Tokyo Disney Resort announced in the 2025 event schedule that various summer-themed programs aimed at cooling guests down will return from July 2 through September 15. At Tokyo Disneyland, guests can enjoy Splash Mountain “Get Soaked MAX,” an extra wet and refreshing version of the ride.

We previously reported on rumors that Disney has pressed Oriental Land Company, the owners of Tokyo Disney Resort, to close Splash Mountain. The other two versions of the attraction at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland closed to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. OLC doesn’t seem interested in “The Princess and the Frog” overlay but Splash Mountain could become something else.

Still, their announcement of the summer version of Splash Mountain confirms the ride isn’t closing anytime soon. We previously guessed that if a closure is impending, it wouldn’t be until 2027-2028.

That said, the Splash Mountain gift shop at Tokyo Disneyland is closing permanently.

Other summer programs at Tokyo Disney Resort will be “Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down,” “Get Soaked” Toontown, and “Get Soaked” Aquatopia.
