We Reviewed ALL the Christmas Treats at Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom is celebrating Christmas between November 8 – December 30, and guests can find festive treats around the park. Below are our reviews of every item, new and returning. These treats are available during regular park hours and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

This tastes like a regular cinnamon roll from Starbucks with sprinkles on top to make it a bit more festive. If you like their cinnamon rolls and sprinkles, then go for it.

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

People stroll past the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, a red and white Victorian-style building in the Magic Kingdom, beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations of wreaths and garlands.

The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is on the far end of the east side of Main Street, near the Main Street Bakery.

A festive sign reading "Peppermint Brownie Sundae" features a delightful description and price, adorned with snowflakes. This delicious addition to Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom is showcased against the warm backdrop of a cozy café interior with a menu board and counter.

This sundae is so Christmas. If you love peppermint this will be a hit for you. Personally, we didn’t need the brownie on the bottom, but it offers a nice break from the creamy peppermint ice cream. The candy cane pieces on top offer an excellent crunch.

The Plaza Restaurant

A festive restaurant facade adorned with exquisite Christmas decorations, including wreaths and floral arrangements, graces the street. The sign reads "Plaza Restaurant" against a backdrop reminiscent of a bright blue sky in the Magic Kingdom.

*NEW* S’mores Cake – $10

Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, toasted marshmallow mousse, and sugar snowflakes

A slice of chocolate cake with blue frosting, white icing, and a decorative snowflake on top evokes the festive spirit of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, served on a plate with two spoons.

We had high hopes for this cake because we love marshmallow. Unfortunately, the cake looks nothing like the picture on the menu board out front. The main difference is that the photo showed huge layers of white marshmallow, and the actual cake has very little marshmallow flavor at all — meaning the main flavor of the cake comes from the chocolate ganache, which overpowers everything.

A slice of cake on a blue plate, adorned with a decorative snowflake and pearl-like toppings, feels like one of the delightful Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom. Two spoons rest beside the plate, ready for sharing.

The cake itself is fine, and if you’re a chocolate lover, you’ll like it, but there’s really nothing special about it to differentiate it from any other chocolate cake with buttercream icing, except for the slightest hint of marshmallow flavor.

*NEW* Gingerbread Milk Shake – $9

Vanilla ice cream, gingerbread syrup, and ginger snap crumbles topped with whipped cream and a chocolate piece

A milkshake topped with whipped cream, crushed cookies, and a gingerbread man cookie, reminiscent of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, served in a glass with two straws and a spoon on a marble table.

The Gingerbread Milk Shake, on the other hand, is a different story. The Plaza Restaurant is known for its milkshakes, and this one does not disappoint. It has a very authentic gingerbread flavor and is very creamy, which makes for a perfect milkshake.

Enjoy a festive milkshake, a Christmas treat at Magic Kingdom, topped with whipped cream, crumbled cookies, and a charming gingerbread figure. Served in a tall glass with a spoon and straw, it's the perfect holiday delight.

There is a chocolate gingerbread man on top, which we’ve seen elsewhere today, that’s made of a mixture of white and milk chocolate. The crumbs on top don’t add much to the shake overall, but it also doesn’t need anything added to it to begin with.

Main Street Snacks

A red popcorn cart, offering Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, is stationed under a decorative canopy. Two people are present, one serving and the other waiting. A few trees and a clear sky provide the perfect festive backdrop.

The Main Street Snacks carts are on either side of the Cinderella Castle Hub, when walking toward Liberty Square and Adventureland or Tomorrowland.

Menu board showcasing "Hot Cocoa Churro" for $7.50 and "Red Velvet Christmas Wreath Doughnut" for $6.00, enticingly described among the delightful array of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom.

Food:

  • Hot Cocoa Churro – $7.50
  • Red Velvet Christmas Wreath Donut – $6

Hot Cocoa Churro – $7.50

Churro rolled in Hot Cocoa Powder by Joffrey’s Coffee and topped with marshmallows and peppermint candy pieces

Plate of churros topped with white drizzle, red sprinkles, and mini marshmallows in front of festive décor.

If this was fresh, it might have been great. Unfortunately, the churros were as hard as the candy cane pieces. It needed more cocoa, too, as the chocolate flavor was smothered by the peppermint.

Red Velvet Christmas Wreath Donut – $6

Red velvet doughnut topped with buttercream and holiday sprinkles

A Christmas Wreath Doughnut with green icing and red, white sprinkles rests on a black plate. Its vibrant red velvet contrasts beautifully against a backdrop of a decorated Christmas tree adorned with red and green ornaments.

The wreath donut is certainly cute. It’s your typical red velvet cake, and the donut itself is good. It was soft and tasty. However, the buttercream was bad. It was very chemical-tasting, like there was far too much food coloring, and it ruined the dish as a whole.

A hand holding a piece of chocolate with dried berries, reminiscent of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, outdoors with tables and red umbrellas in the background.

We don’t know what this is actually supposed to be. It’s nothing at all like peppermint bark. It mostly tastes like if you had a very thin brownie and baked it too long so it’s hard and tastes burnt, and then put a bit of crushed peppermint sticks on top.

Close-up of a person holding a thin, textured piece of chocolate, reminiscent of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, in an outdoor setting with tables and red umbrellas in the background.

This was probably the worst thing we’ve eaten all day. We do not recommend it under any circumstances.

*NEW* Gingerbread Cake – $6.29

Gingerbread chiffon cake with cream cheese frosting, dulce ganache, and a chocolate piece

A slice of cake with wavy beige frosting, adorned by a gingerbread man cookie and festive red and green candy balls, evokes the enchanting spirit of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom. Perched on a black plate, it invites you to celebrate in delicious holiday style.

Please note that the Gingerbread Cake is only available until 5 p.m. daily.

This gingerbread cake is a fantastic option for those who don’t like overly sweet buttercream icing. The cake itself is very moist. Between the layers, there is a very light whipped cream type of filling, which makes for a very creamy mouthfeel.

A slice of layered cake with cream frosting is topped with a gingerbread decoration and festive red and green candies, embodying the magic of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, and served on a black plate.

The icing is slightly gingerbread flavored, but not super sweet. The gingerbread man on top is made of chocolate and tastes like it’s a mixture of white chocolate and milk chocolate. Overall, this was very good.

The Friar’s Nook

The exterior of "The Friar's Nook," showcasing Tudor-style architecture adorned with festive signs for Brats & Tots, evokes the charm of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom. Several people eagerly stand in line, ready to savor the seasonal delights.

The Friar’s Nook is in Fantasyland between Princess Fairytale Hall and Storybook Treats.

A festive menu board at Magic Kingdom showcases an array of delights, featuring Tiana's Famous Beignets and Cheddar Bacon Ranch Tots. Indulge in a Strawberry Lemonade Slushy or the seasonal Eggnog Shake, perfect Christmas treats for a magical experience.

The menu board has a typo, listing the item as an “eggnot shake.”

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Eggnog Shake – $8.49

*NEW* Eggnog Shake – $8.49

Eggnog soft-serve with ginger snap crumbles topped with whipped cream and festive sprinkles

A hand holds a milkshake, reminiscent of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, framed by lush greenery and elegant stone architecture.

First things first, we’d love to have a plastic straw for this. We couldn’t get any milkshake through the included paper straw. This tastes like a creamier version of eggnog.

There is crushed graham cracker on the bottom, but we couldn’t get any of it out. The sprinkles on top give the treat a festive touch. If you love eggnog, we’d recommend you try this or share it with a friend or two if you’re unsure.

Discover our magical menu featuring a Sugar Plum-Vanilla Soft-serve Sundae topped with festive sprinkles, marshmallows, and almonds. Indulge in this delightful Christmas treat at Magic Kingdom for just $7.79.

Food:

  • 🆕 Sugar Plum-Vanilla Soft-serve Sundae – $7.79

*NEW* Sugar Plum-Vanilla Soft-serve Sundae – $7.79

Sugar plum-vanilla soft-serve swirl dipped in celebration cake cone dip topped with marshmallows and almonds

A hand holding a bowl of soft-serve ice cream, reminiscent of the delightful Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, topped with sliced almonds and colorful sprinkles, with a black spoon. Greenery and pink flowers are blurred in the background.

This is pretty bad. We don’t know what a sugarplum is, but the ice cream sort of tastes like Christmas spice. It’s purple in color but it doesn’t taste anything like a plum.

A hand holds a festive bowl of swirled ice cream with pink and white sections, topped with sprinkles, almond slices, and a black spoon. Garden greenery and pink flowers in the background evoke the magic of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom.

The Celebration Cake dip on top is essentially white chocolate that’s flavored like birthday cake. If you like that really fake cake flavor that you’d normally find in birthday cake ice cream, well, this is just a white chocolate version of that.

A person holds a plate of swirled ice cream, reminiscent of the delightful Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom, topped with almonds, sprinkles, and mini marshmallows against a lush greenery background.

The almonds lend no taste and the marshmallows are the tiny dried kind that you find in cereal, so they’re more crunchy than anything else. Overall, it’s tough to recommend you try this. We’d most certainly rather have a DOLE Whip or even just plain vanilla ice cream instead.

Cheshire Cafe

A woman stands at the counter of Cheshire Café in Magic Kingdom, with two children in a stroller. The whimsical decor and a smiling cat sign hint at the seasonal delights inside, as outdoor seating with umbrellas beckons guests to savor magical Christmas treats.

Cheshire Cafe is in Fantasyland across from Mad Tea Party, near the path to Tomorrowland.

  • 🆕 Plant-based Whoopie Pie – $6.49

*NEW* Plant-based Whoopie Pie – $6.49

Chocolate cake sandwiched with marshmallow mint buttercream

A hand holds a festive chocolate cupcake with a Mickey Mouse-shaped white chocolate decoration, reminiscent of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom. Pink flowers and greenery create a vibrant background.

This is the most intensely mint-flavored thing we’ve ever eaten in our lives. The red icing in the middle and the green icing on top that holds the chocolate Mickey icon are both mint-flavored. If you like mint, you will love this. If you don’t really care for mint, we’d suggest staying away.

A hand holds a chocolate cupcake with white icing, shaped like a cartoon character, and filled with red cream—perfect for enjoying as one of the Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom. Pink flowers and greenery are in the background, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The cake itself is fine. It’s not super moist but serviceable for a theme park cake. The white chocolate Mickey icon on top is just white chocolate, nothing special. This treat is also vegan, so it will certainly appeal to a certain demographic that may otherwise be unable to eat it.

*NEW* Cherry Cordial Cold Brew – $5.29

Joffrey’s Cold Brew topped with cherry whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and chocolate curls

A hand holds a cup filled with a dark beverage topped with pink whipped cream and chocolate pieces, capturing the essence of Christmas treats at Magic Kingdom. In the background, an outdoor setting features a trash bin and building corner.

This coffee is great, but it’s not sweet at all. We don’t think the whipped cream tastes like cherry, and is instead just regular whipped cream with food coloring added.

That being said, we think it’s better than what you can get from Starbucks. The line at Cheshire Cafe is shorter and your drink comes out super quick. It doesn’t feel as festive, sure, but it’s a great grab-and-go option on the way to your next ride. We’d highly recommend trying this.
