SXSW Announcement

Today, at the SXSW panel, The Future of World-Building at Disney, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Walt Disney Imagineering’s President and Chief Creative Officer Bruce Vaughn shared more insights into the storytelling and cutting-edge technology that will animate these attractions. This follows the D23 announcement that came last year during the 2024 event!

Robert Downey Jr.’s Return as Tony Stark

In a move that stunned fans worldwide, Robert Downey Jr. confirmed his return as Tony Stark, reprising his iconic role in two new rides: Stark Flight Lab and Avengers: Infinity Defense! Expansion and Construction Updates

Construction for both new attractions is slated to begin in 2025, with significant changes to the park’s layout to accommodate these additions. The Timon Lot has been closed to facilitate the expansion, which will nearly double the size of Avengers Campus. This expansion not only introduces new rides but also enhances the overall Marvel experience, offering more opportunities for character interactions and immersive storytelling!

The Future of Avengers Campus

The expansion of Avengers Campus is part of Disney’s broader strategy to create immersive, interactive experiences that blur the lines between the physical and digital worlds. By incorporating beloved characters and storylines from the MCU, Disney aims to attract both die-hard Marvel fans and families looking for a fun, action-packed adventure!
