The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is being expanded.

Fort Wilderness Pool Expansion

According to Disney Parks Blog, the resort will get a new zero-entry pool and deck area alongside the existing pool, effectively doubling the space. The expansion will also include a tennis court and two pickleball courts.

The Walt Disney World website states construction began near Meadow Swimmin’ Pool last month. Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open during work.

Meadow Swimmin’ Pool has a 67-foot-long corkscrew waterslide, a whirlpool spa, and a fort-themed water play area. The pool area hosts family-friendly activities like themed parties with games, relays, and trivia. The Meadow recreation area is near the front of the resort and campground while the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool is among The Cabins.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is also under construction next to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The new Disney Vacation Club resort is rumored to have an extensive pool area including a lazy river.
