It’s Illegal to Do This the Mexico Pavilion, but We See It Happen Every. Single. Day.

EPCOT’s World Showcase is one of the most unique and immersive experiences at Disney World — where else can you stroll through 11 different countries in a single afternoon?

From sipping frozen margaritas in Mexico to grabbing fresh baguettes in France, it’s a dream for parkgoers who love culture, food, and a little globe-trotting magic. But with all that exploring comes a few sneaky rules and logistics you’ll want to know ahead of time — especially if you’re rolling in with a stroller.

The Mexico pavilion is known for great food, frozen drinks, and, of course, our favorite duck in a sombrero. However, there is a rule that is constantly being broken in this pavilion. It’s causing some chaos, and we’re here to help you make sure you don’t do this illegal activity.

It’s Donald!

We’re talking about strollers. You see, there are designated areas to park your stroller inside the Disney parks. This helps with safety, the follow of traffic, and crowds. However, Mexico is one of the countries where we see the most where this rule is not being followed. Now, is it truly “illegal”? No, but it is breaking a rule at Disney, and you’re stroller could be moved.

Stroller Parking

Let’s talk about where this happens the most. Next to the pyramid inside the pavilion, to the left as you are walking to Norway, there is a path that leads to the pyramid as well as the meet and greet area for Donald. Many guests park their strollers here to either go inside the pyramid or to visit Donald; however, this is not stroller parking.

Right now, there are construction walls up blocking most of this area; however, the path to the pyramid is open. When we visited EPCOT recently, strollers were blocking this handicap ramp as well, making it very difficult for others to access inside. This area is not acceptable for stroller parking, and if you find yourself tempted to park here, please think again.

Not acceptable stroller parking

Instead, to the left of the pyramid, you’ll be able to find stroller parking. If this area is full, there is also parking right over in Norway, just a quick walk away. Just because it looks like “everyone else is doing it” doesn’t mean it’s okay to park your stroller anywhere. A lot of guests leave strollers there without realizing it’s against the rules, but Cast Members are watching — and sometimes that stroller relocates, or you get that awkward “Hey, you need to move this to Norway” talk right when you’re dealing with a meltdown or snack crisis.

Correct Stroller Parking

If you forget, no worries—just be cool and move it. Cast Members aren’t out to ruin your day; they’re just keeping things running smoothly and safely. Be sure you follow Disney Food Blog for more Disney parks tips.
