Over five years after the restaurant closed, Disney has removed the Restaurant Marrakesh lettering from its entrance sign.

The golden base of the sign remains hanging in the entryway at the back of the Morocco pavilion, but the name Restaurant Marrakesh and red symbol have been removed. Rivets and faded silhouettes of the letters are still visible.
The restaurant never reopened after Walt Disney World shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Disney has never made any official announcement regarding its status and the Restaurant Marrakesh webpage remains live.
The space has been used for limited-time offerings like the Florida Blue lounge and Annual Passholder lounge.
