Paddlefish Robbed
A recent story from local channel News 6 in Orlando has reported that Paddlefish in Disney Springs has been robbed. According to Orange County Sheriff’s Office officials, an “unknown man entered the business after hours, took some cash and left.”
The robbery happened just after midnight. Paddlefish closed at 11 p.m. on Sunday, which is the standard closing time for all of Disney Springs.
Deputies said that no one was injured during the robbery, though they did not share if anyone was in the restaurant at the time the incident occurred.
The article does not yet have any additional details about the robber or how much money was taken. The investigation is ongoing.
Paddlefish at Disney Springs
Paddlefish is a restaurant located inside a steamboat on the lake of Disney Springs. The steamboat stays docked at The Landing at all times, though guests still get the feeling of dining on the water.
The steamboat structure originally opened in 1977 as the Empress Lilly, which was named after Walt Disney’s wife, Lillian Disney. In 1996, Fulton’s Crab House took over the space, and remained its sole occupant until the restaurant was turned into Paddlefish in 2017. Both Fulton’s Crab House and now Paddlefish have been operated by Levy Restaurants.
