Hey everybody! The Halloween season in Central Florida continues on, and we were recently invited to Gatorland to check out the return of their spooky annual offering, Gators, Ghosts & Goblins!

Halloween Fun at Gatorland

Tracker Tip: Did you know that Gatorland has been around since 1949? Gatorland is also the leader in alligator education and safety.

Gators, Ghosts & Goblins Event Dates

The event is back for its 7th year with plenty of family fun and a little bit of fright. Gators, Ghosts & Goblins is available during the day and is family-friendly. Best of all, it’s included with park admission to Gatorland! It runs over three weekends in October, on the following dates:

  • October 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26

Swamp Ghost’s Monster Movie Museum Haunted House

Among the offerings this year are “Swamp Ghost’s Monster Movie Museum,” where Cyrus the Gravedigger will take you through an abandoned movie theater to learn about the history of horror movies. This is updated from last year, where the walkthrough was a monster museum.

The first half of the walkthrough is educational, where you learn about monster movies of the past. After that, though, is the haunted house portion. This is the only part of Gators, Ghosts & Goblins that isn’t suitable for smaller kids.

We really enjoy that Gatorland made their haunted house educational each year. It’s also nice that they change it up with a new theme to keep things fresh.

Tracker Tip: If you’re not a fan of haunted houses, you can leave after the educational portion of Swamp Ghost’s Monster Movie Museum and skip the scares!

The “Cryptids vs. Aliens” Hauntzone will also be offered this year, where you can help Skunk Ape and the Yeti stop extra-terrestrials from taking over the world! This offering is different from last year, where the Hauntzone was just a cryptid zoo.

In the zone, all the cryptids are missing because the aliens have come to take over the planet, and it’s your job to venture through and save them (or help out the aliens if you so choose). We love how the hauntzone is silly and fun, but at the same time, a little spooky.

After saving the world (or not, in our case, we lost to the aliens), guests can board the Cryptid Express. We experienced this back in 2024; it’s a fun and not scary seek-and-find-type of activity for everyone to enjoy.

You also can’t miss the Gator Jumparoo show! While this is a regular offering year-round, the Gatoland team will toss pumpkins to the alligators and crocodiles during Gators, Ghosts & Goblins.

There are also limited-time food offerings to try! We were able to try several of the options that will be available once the event begins.

Other offerings this year include fending off big bugs with Betty, employee of the month at Bubba’s Bug B-Gone, see the new character “The Creepybara,” and visit Gator Grotto to find pirates. These are all in addition to interactive characters, animal meet and greets, photo ops, a Children’s Halloween Costume Parade with treat bags for participants, shows, a live DJ, specialty vendors, games, candy giveaways, and more.

Tracker Tip: The Children’s Halloween Costume Parade is available on weekends only, starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Upclose Arena.

Gators, Ghosts & Goblins runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on event days. Both children and adults are welcome to wear costumes, just nothing scary or gory (for Skunk Ape’s sake, he’s easily frightened).

Tracker Tip: If you’re a Florida resident, you can get half off the price of admission!
