The Ankole cattle herd at Disney’s Animal Kingdom had a doubly special St. Patrick’s Day as they celebrated both the holiday and the 16th birthday of member Mudiwa.

Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment, shared the story on his Instagram account along with details of the herd’s celebration.

Along with sharing a shamrock-carved pumpkin snack with her herdmates, birthday girl Mudiwa got to play with bubbles, which Dr. Mark says is her favorite activity.

Wishing a lucky 16th birthday to Mudiwa, one of our Ankole cattle at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! The herd is celebrating both her birthday and St. Patrick’s Day on the savanna with a shamrock pumpkin and bubbles, one of her favorite enrichments.
