First Concrete Poured in Piston Peak National Park at Magic Kingdom

Crews have begun pouring concrete for Piston Peak National Park, a new Cars area under construction at Magic Kingdom. The concrete is being poured in the concrete forms aerial photographer @bioreconstruct captured photos of last month.

Several concrete mixer trucks visited the construction site on Monday morning, and a concrete boom pump was used to pour the mixture.

Down the center of the concrete forms is now a row of poles, potentially for a retaining wall that will separate the land’s new river from the Frontierland boardwalk. The small river is visible in the Piston Peak National Park “fun map” below.

On the other side of the boardwalk, Westward Ho and Big Al’s will close permanently soon and construction walls will shift forward.
