The King Triton football jersey has been pulled from shelves within days of release at Disneyland Resort, reportedly because of negative reaction about the jersey not being for Prince Eric instead.

The new football jerseys are mostly inspired by different Disney couples, like Cinderella and Prince Charming, Belle and the Beast, and Megara and Hercules. But instead of a Prince Eric design to match Ariel, Disney released a King Triton jersey.

After backlash (and jokes) online, the King Triton jersey can no longer be found in Disneyland Resort stores. All the other jerseys are still available.

The King Triton jersey is also still available at Walt Disney World.
