Disney’s Art of Animation Resort at Walt Disney World is getting a significant makeover starting next summer.

Starting in summer 2027, the family suites and guest rooms at Art of Animation will be getting a significant refurbishment. However, the resort will remain open and available during the refurbishment.

Art of Animation has not had a refurbishment of this magnitude since it first opened in 2012. The Little Mermaid guest rooms, in particular, seem to be a focus of this upcoming makeover.

Disney’s Art of Animation has not had a refurbishment of this magnitude since it first opened in 2012. The Little Mermaid guest rooms, in particular, will be a focus of this upcoming makeover. These rooms, while maintaining their animation quality, will receive pull-down Murphy beds that give the room both a second bed or a table, depending on what the guests need at the time.

While the resort has had soft-goods refurbishments over the years, such as replacing carpet in the rooms with laminate from 2019 to 2021 or the lobby floor replacement, there haven’t been any other major projects.
