Guests can finally ride Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift as it has officially begun a soft opening period of “technical rehearsals.”
Hollywood Drift Begins Technical Rehearsals

Technical rehearsals for the new coaster have begun as of Monday, July 27, according to the Los Angeles Times. The unannounced soft opening allows regular park guests to experience the long-awaited coaster before its official grand opening.
Because rehearsals remain part of the attraction’s testing period, operation is not guaranteed, and the coaster may close at any time. Universal has not announced a formal opening date.
Hollywood Drift reaches speeds of 72 mph and features multiple inversions and vehicles capable of rotating 360 degrees. The 4,100-foot coaster travels above and below the Starway escalators connecting the park’s Upper and Lower Lots.
