Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit for the installation of signage in the new Monstropolis land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The permit is for 361 Cypress Dr — the address of the former Stage 1 Company Store, which was completely demolished last year. The use of this address probably means the sign will be in the same area the store used to be, where a pavilion is pictured on concept art.

The location means this won’t be the land’s main entrance sign and likely won’t be related to its new attractions, either. It could be a directional sign pointing to different offerings, like the nearby Harryhausen’s restaurant.

Design Communications Ltd. is contracted for the work, which is just described as “Install signage.” Disney contracted Design Communications earlier this year for signage at other Monstroplis addresses. They were also recently contracted for signage at Alien Swirling Saucers.

Monstrous details are arriving at the former Muppets Courtyard. While a Monsters, Inc. door coaster is being newly constructed, the MuppetVision 3D theater is being re-themed for a new experience.
