Disney Springs recently opened a new location of the immersive gaming experience, Level99, and after spending an afternoon there, we think it deserves to be your next Disney date spot!

What is Level99?

For those unfamiliar, Level99 is like a giant playground for adults and teens with more than 60 mini-games and challenges to test your body and your brain. The new Disney Springs spot, which opened in June, is Level99’s fourth and largest location! You can find it at Disney Springs West Side, right next to the Cirque du Soleil theater and across from the House of Blues.

Check-In!

To prep for your visit, you can buy your tickets online and set up your account with a gamertag to track your scores. You’ll also have to sign a waiver before you arrive. Pricing per person for one and a half hours is $29.99, with two and a half hours being $39.99.

Tracker Tip: If you’re already at Disney Springs and decide to stop in day-of, you may be able to take advantage of walk-ins, subject to capacity!

Once you arrive at Level99 and check in, you’ll receive a Veloband that grants access to the venue’s games and is linked to your gamertag. If you didn’t make one beforehand, you’ll choose one upon arrival! You can also check kiosks in the venue throughout your experience to check your remaining game time.

There are also free lockers if you want to stow away any items while you’re playing, as well as a gift shop and food and beverage locations.

Game on!

There are three ways to play at Level99: Challenge Rooms, Duels, and an Art Hunt.

For Challenge Rooms, you can play with a team of 2-6 people, and you can mix up your group at any point — meaning if two people in your group of six want to try a challenge that the rest do not, they can go off and play and rejoin you after!

Tracker Tip: If you need hints, the screens outside of each Challenge Room offer different levels of tips or hints to help you be better at the game, ranging from a small nudge to full-out instructions.

Each challenge runs from 1-4 minutes, and they can all be played in any order you like, and as often as you like! So if you have a favorite game, you can always go back and play it again for a higher score! They are also categorized by skill and physicality levels.

You can earn stars as you play through each challenge and gain rank on the Level99 leaderboard! And with your unique gamertag, your progress is saved so you can increase your score each time you come back.

Duels are spread throughout the Arena and are Player-vs-Player experiences that put your skills to the test in front of your friends! There’s also the iconic Axe Run on the first floor, where you weave your way through giant swinging axes!

The art scavenger hunt features over 40 unique works of art across both floors of the venue, all made by local Orlando artists.

Tracker Tip: If you want to rack up a ton of points, consider doing the art hunt! We were able to score a ton of points ahead of our visit to the Disney Springs location by doing this at Level99 in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. 

Fuel up!

There are two spots you can order food and beverages in Level 99 during your experience: a bar and a quick-service location. Both offer the same items, but if you want a craft cocktail, you’ll have to go to the bar. Canned beers, draft beers, draft cocktails, and canned cocktails are also available.

Tracker Tip: If you want to take a break to eat, just find an attendant with an iPad and ask them to scan your wristbands and pause your game time. They’ll give you 30 minutes to fuel up before you get back to the games!

We tried several items off the menu during our break, including some of the Detroit-style pizzas: the Figgy P, with crispy prosciutto, burrata, tomato, fig jam, and fresh basil; and the Roni, Roni, Roni, with Ezzo cupping pepperoni, housemade red sauce, pecorino romano, Calabrian chili, and fresh basil.

We also ordered the Chilled Shanghai Noodles, with yakisoba noodles, shaved vegetables, sesame miso dressing, and chili crisp; falafel bites (available on the event menu, but you can ask for them!); and the Goddess Grilled Chicken sandwich with green goddess sauce, fresh herbs, pickled red onion, shredded lettuce, and brioche bread.

One cool thing offered at Level99 is their housemade pouched cocktails! We tried the zero-proof options: the Pineapple Banana Painkiller and the Paloma. They come in huge pouches, so be prepared for the amount you get!

We thought the food and drinks were delicious! We especially loved the pizzas, and thought the chicken was of great quality and flavor. We would eat here again for sure!

Though we had just a taste of the experience at Level99, we can definitely see ourselves coming back to spend more time here! We had so much fun, and we can’t wait to come back.
