There is a recent report indicating that actor Macaulay Culkin met with Disney to discuss a potential new Home Alone project.

TMZ confirmed that Culkin recently met with Disney executives in Burbank, California to talk about an idea he had for a new Home Alone project. Matthew Belloni talked about the meeting just a little bit in an episode of his podcast The Town.

“They’re offering him another movie,” Belloni said. “He could do his own passion project if he could also do another Home Alone…I’ve talked to people who have heard it, and it’s a really good idea for a Home Alone reboot with Macaulay Culkin.” He also noted that Disney seems to be “courting him like nobody’s business.”

Back in 2019, there was talk of a Home Alone reboot for Disney+. Disney had planned on rebooting that film along with other properties belonging to 20th Century Fox, which had then been merged with Disney.
