Disney announced the full cast of Avengers Infinity Defense, as well as Stark Flight Lab, both opening at Disney California Adventure in 2028.
Avengers Infinity Defense
This multiverse-jumping attraction has guests and super heroes face off against King Thanos, a version of the villain who won. Avengers Infinity Defense will use the same 3D ride system as Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea.
Massive physical sets will blend “seamlessly” with screen scenes.
Guests will be welcomed as recruits. The pre-show will star Ms. Marvel played by Iman Vellani.
Other on-screen heroes reprising their roles include Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man.
Disney shared a video of the four actors filming new footage, along with some clips of the ride.
Stark Flight Lab
On Stark Flight Lab, guests sit in “gyro-kinetic pods” that move along a track before attaching to a robotic arm. Each arm has a personality, similar to DUM-E from the Iron Man films.
Robert Downey, Jr. also returns as Tony Stark / Iron Man for Stark Flight Lab. He’s joined by Mackie and Brie Larson reprising her role as Captain Marvel.
