Awning Installed, Interior Work Happening at Former Jellyrolls in Disney's BoardWalk

After closing in early 2025, the dueling piano bar’s former home in Disney’s BoardWalk at Walt Disney World is being completely overhauled. The venue will reopen as The Hurly-Burly Jazz Club.

Jellyrolls Construction Update

Since our last update, a new awning has been installed along the left side of the building. The large awning is red with scalloped edges decorated with gold shell detailing. There is still no awning above the main entrance, though.

Several rows of white lights are installed above and below the awning, and the windows have thick white trim. Rolling planters and a green fence have also replaced the white construction walls that were in this area.

Over by the entrance, the double red doors were open with a crew member actively working in the area. There is a white seashell-shaped wall sconce, and the ceiling is covered in sheathing, likely in anticipation of a decorative layer being installed.

When we overexposed this photo, we could see a snippet of the new interior design. The walls look to be a dark blue or black color with large decorative panels, and there is a single horizontal light fixture.

Around the other side of the building, we spotted another crew member painting the white fence.

There were also about a dozen electrical and service trucks parked outside of the building, suggesting extensive interior work was occurring today.

Even before Jellyrolls closed, it was rumored that the replacement would be a Disney-owned jazz club. At the end of 2025, Disney reportedly began casting for the new establishment and told those performers they would be looking at a 2026 debut.

The Hurly-Burly Jazz Club will be themed to a historic seaside theatre, with the lounge offering family-friendly activities like trivia and games in the afternoon. At night, it will become a live music venue exclusive to guests ages 21+ with coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites.

The Jellyrolls owners have already announced they will be opening a new location in the Lake Buena Vista area sometime later this year.
