Disney has revealed the restaurants and merchandise locations coming to Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Monstropolis Shopping and Dining

The new land will welcome guests into the world of Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., where humans are visiting the monster city for the first time as part of H.U.M.A.N. Day. Portions of Monstropolis are scheduled to open in 2027 as construction continues on the land’s door coaster.

Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza

Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will serve what Disney describes as the top-rated pizza in Monstropolis. The restaurant is named for Archie, the six-legged Fear Tech mascot frequently “borrowed” by mischievous Monsters University students. It’s possible this location may serve as the replacement for the former PizzeRizzo of Muppets Courtyard.

“People and monsters all love pizza, and Monstropolis’ top-rated pizza will be your go-to place to grab a slice.”

Monsters University Alumni Club

Located next to Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, the Monsters University Alumni Club will open its doors to human visitors. The venue will feature references to the university’s clubs, fraternities, sororities, and famous graduates. This may functionally replace the Stage 1 Company Store formerly located in Muppets Courtyard.

“Inside the Alumni Club is the elite Scarer’s Club, honoring the school’s legendary scarers from years past.”

Scareporium

The Scareporium—a play on the Emporium store model common to Disney Parks—is likely the primary shopping location in Monstropolis, offering souvenirs for humans visiting the monster world.

“… a shop where all of us human tourists can grab a great souvenir to remember our visit.”

Harryhausen’s Restaurant

Harryhausen’s, the upscale restaurant featured during Mike and Celia’s disastrous date in Monsters, Inc., will become a real dining venue. An Audio-Animatronics figure of the restaurant’s many-tentacled sushi chef will prepare monster-inspired creations, though Disney confirmed that the menu will offer more than sushi.

“A menu unlike anything else we offer at Walt Disney World. It will be a great place to bring your Schmoopsie-poo for a romantic meal.”

Disney has not yet announced menus, pricing, or operating details for the Monstropolis dining and shopping locations.
