No more Disco Yeti. The animatronic on Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has not moved since early on during the ride’s life but Disney will finally restore it.

Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that Disney will bring the Yeti back to life.

It was affectionally dubbed “Disco Yeti” by fans because of the flashing lights used to give the static figure the illusion of movement.

In honor of the announcement, disco queen Gloria Gaynor appeared live on stage to perform “I Will Survive.”
