Disney is creating a Monsters, Inc. land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ve learned more about this land since it was first announced, and we even got to see a model of a new attraction in that land, but now, we have an idea of when it will open!
Disney has revealed that the new Monsters, Inc. land will open next year, in 2027! Disney shared that this will be a phased opening. That’s right, while work continues on the door coaster, parts of Monstropolis will open to guests in 2027.

As we previously mentioned, the new land will feature a brand-new ride that’s basically one EVERY Monsters, Inc. fan has wanted to see since the movie first came out. The ride will be based on the doors chase scene, and the concept art makes it look VERY EXCITING. We also know that this new ride will be Disney’s first suspended roller coaster. SWEET.
