Aerial photographs shared by bioreconstruct on X show construction progress on Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, and the rest of Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We learned the attraction names during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend.
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto
Steel framework has been installed at the front of the Encanto ride, which will be named Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto. A concrete retaining wall divides the future guest area from the in-progress Casita facade. A steel tower has risen for the beginning of the iconic house. The steel framing in the background is the beginning of an artificial hill.

Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent
The temple facade of Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent is currently being built, and crews are working on adding theming to the steel structure. The mesh netting will create rockwork around the temple, similar to the hills and mountains taking shape by Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto.
Elements of the temple itself are being constructed off-site and will later be installed on the steel frame. Check out the Maya temple model.
In the ride, guests will rendezvous with Dr. Jones, who is in the midst of the temple near a once water-filled underground cave, called a cenote. Local legend says the passageway leads directly to the Maya Underworld, and is protected by a serpentine creature: the Tsukán.
The land cleared near the Indiana Jones ride is for a new playground. The above photo also shows the base where Dino-Sue once stood. Though the dinosaur skeleton is gone, the base has yet to be removed or demolished.
Tropical Americas
The roof of the land’s carousel attraction is still under construction. To the right of the carousel is the queue (which will be covered), and there is scaffolding opposite the carousel for the berm.
Imagineers announced at D23 that this ride will be named El Carrusel de los Animalitos.
Currently, crews are working on the roofing for many buildings, including the quick-service restaurant. Formerly Restaurantosaurus, this being transformed into a hacienda. Old roofing was stripped from the buildings to be replaced with new thematic roofing.
There’s also a new steel frame entrance at the front of the quick-service restaurant. Disney has not yet announced a name or details of the venue.
In the center of the land is a series of concrete walls and structures. The circle between those structures and the restaurant is the location of the land’s future fountain. Some of the steel frames at the land’s main entrance now have wood elements.
