Central Florida Under Another Heat Advisory, Heat Index Up to 110°F

After a couple weeks of slightly lower temperatures, East Central Florida is once again under a Heat Advisory. The last Heat Advisory was issued on July 29, 2026.

After a couple weeks of slightly lower temperatures, East Central Florida is once again under a Heat Advisory. The last Heat Advisory was issued on July 29, 2026.

On August 8, the Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. It affects all of East Central Florida, including Orange and Osceola counties, where Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort are located.

The actual high temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s. The heat index, which is what the temperature feels like, will be between 105 and 110°F.

The National Weather Service recommends people in the area drink plenty of water and take breaks in the air conditioning. Isolated to scattered showers and storms are also forecast this afternoon.

Looking ahead at the rest of this week, the Greater Orlando area will continue to have high temperatures. NWS forecasts a 95° high every day through Saturday and more Heat Advisories will likely be issued.
