Frontierland construction walls in Magic Kingdom have shifted so now only a small section of the boardwalk is open.

About half of the boardwalk has been closed since early July. Construction walls now cut off the stretch of boardwalk that leads from in front of Country Bear Musical Jamboree to Liberty Square.

Guests can only walk a short section of boardwalk between Country Bear Musical Jamboree and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, behind the former Westward Ho site. The kiosk was completely demolished this month.

The construction is related to Piston Peak National Park, a new Cars area in the works at Magic Kingdom. Though concept art for the area indicates there will still be a boardwalk, it’s still necessary to close the walkway for now.
We expect to hear more about Piston Peak at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
