Disney has announced new details, including [ ] for Harryhausen’s in Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Monsters, Inc. restaurant replaces Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, part of the new Monstropolis land.

Harryhausen’s is a restaurant visited by characters in the first Monsters, Inc. and the location of one of Mike and Celia’s most unforgettable dates.   

With a new menu to lay your eyes on (whether you have one, two, or ten), a visit to Harryhausen’s will spotlight the famed sushi chef, brought to life here as a new Audio-Animatronics figure. Watch his many tentacles whip up delicious-looking Monster-worthy creations, but don’t worry, there’s more than just sushi on the menu.  

Disney said that it will be, “A menu unlike anything else we offer at Walt Disney World. It will be a great place to bring your Schmoopsie-poo for a romantic meal.”

The octopus-like monster that works as a chef at Harryhausen’s in Monstropolis makes use of his six tentacles to prepare multiple meals at once. The Chef was working at Harryhausen’s on the night when Mike Wazowski had taken his girlfriend, Celia Mae, out for a birthday dinner.

Monstropolis has taken over the former Muppets Courtyard and will be the first land based on Monsters, Inc. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The project includes the Monsters, Inc. door coaster, Harryhausen’s, and The Glob theater.
